  • You will remember not to sell your other half, won't you?

I treated myself to a bottle of £3 pretend Bailey's last week. Usually I would use any old glass but I chose to use a Crystal port glass, normally saved for visitors. I am determined to use my "for best" things regularly this year. I get real pleasure from using some things so I am going to use them more.

Are you doing anything special for your birthday?

Have a good weekend, take care honey

    Haha sometimes I'm tempted :D:D:D

That's brilliant about using 'best'. I'm doing that too. We have a load of nice mugs that we don't use, and were just using easter egg mugs instead. The 'nice' mugs were just dustcatchers and taking up space. So we got rid of the easter egg mugs and now use the nice ones instead.

Life's too short to save things for best, we should use them and enjoy them! It's something I'm learning now.

I've got no plans for my birthday, probably a meal and a day out.

Have a good weekend too Pauline :)

Well I did papers yesterday :T I've emptied the filing cabinet and got it down to 4 folders (I probably need one extra really). So I have also sold the filing cabinet, and hopefully that is being picked up today. :T :T

2 other items sold yesterday so they are packed and ready to go.

It is a good idea NOT to save things for best. I use all my nice mugs as my tea tastes nicer out of them. I used to save clothes for best too and hardly wear them, but now I try to wear my nicest clothes more often :).

As you say life is too short not too :).

I love that Jwil, de-clutter the papers and then de-clutter the entire filing cabinet :rotfl:. That will free up some floor space :).
