Humph. Blinds people were an hour late. I missed lunch, so having a snack and cuppa now. How irritating. And the blinds I wanted in my kitchen won't work, back to the drawing board on that one. But he measured the den patio doors to replace the verticals that are there.

Not achieved much today. Had a brainwave and brought the hutch into the conservatory and put the dehumidifier on. We are due rain tomorrow then a dry spell. So it can go back out on Sunday. Can't move in there really, now, but it's temporary. I think the mould has gone, c!ll!t bang was all I had left haha but that seems to have sorted it.

Half an hour free now, think I will do a shopping list for next week...

Sorry to anyone else I've missed. Life has been going from bad to worse this week. Please feel free to skip the rant below:

Sorry to hear all that. Emails are such a mixed blessing; I can never understand what hackers get out of it, it's not as if they are peering through the window watching the effect of their "work" on you...

I hope it all gets sorted.
Sorry about the car too; I know what that's like. I was desperately hoping my replacement would arrive before the insurance stop paying for the hire car, but the new one is stuck in the Lake District at present - anyone like to drive it down for me? So looks as if I'll have to pay to get another hired car if nothing happens soon.

I've just spent ages trying to book an eye test via the on-line system. does "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" actually mean anything or is the system just laughing at me? Guess I'll have to pick up the phone.

    Thanks, everyone :A:A:A
I've done a bit of rewriting and a lot of rejigging and I'm back up to 750 words in under 3 hours - that's half way through the first part of the assignment :)
    Keep 'em coming!

Most of today's "Flying" has been the virtual kind; month-end financial stuff; updating all the spreadsheets and checking our bank accounts online, etc. Grocery-wise, we've come in £25 under budget this month. :money:
All this happened after a trip to the F&V market and @ldi so that I could include today's purchases in the mix. :o

Water filter jug has a new filter in it though; and the coffee machine is scheduled for a descale (dilute white vinegar) tomorrow. :o

    :eek::eek::eek:

Only the conclusion to finish on this essay before tea, and 1000 words of the second part of the assignment to do later this evening and tomorrow, before I can format the files and submit everything.

DH ground to a halt for an hour, but I can hear him moving again now :o

It's a bug on the web page. Someone has missed a bit of code or not linked to the right 'library' (not of books, more sort of an index of instructions).

    Clear as mud???

Bits of me that I didn't know I had are boggelling ....

Sounds very positive Ionafan. Go you!

I have a big, big pile of gibble to go to the CS and for recycling. Nothing like a strop to get me on a *fling* fest.

    Evening all,
Finally caught up with the fred! So...
Hope Kelpie is feeling a little less sore HB, I can empathise with well medicated dogs as ours is on 3 different types of meds a day :(
    Hugs for DH Jazee.
Glad to hear your bracelet turned up MrsMP.
Dizzy sending gentle hugs, hope you feel better soon.
Hope the hutch is completely salvageable Bossy, the dehumidifier idea sounds like a winner.
Sorry to hear about the car Fayolle, but glad DD check went ok.
Charlieyates I hear you about keeping a clean floor, our kitchen never seems to be clean atm. It doesn't help that the rain just pours down the steep slope of the garden:eek:
I had the same thing with my email address FBO, I had 2k emails in an hour:eek: A change of password, filters and sending a bazillion to the spam folder seemed to do the trick.
Sending whatever the opposite of writers block is your way Iona.
Woohoo toLW for getting under budget, something I'm really struggling to do atm.
Sending hugs, sticks, spoons and positive vibes to anyone I've missed.

Have had a good productive couple of days, everywhere is looking clean and tidy. Finished off the fruit cake for DH this morning, decluttered a nap after lunch and got DD out into the garden to do a bit of weeding. Though she did spend most of the time digging soil up and putting it into her little bucket:rotfl:
Hopefully the weather will stay nice and I can get out to do a bit more tomorrow.

    Evening all,
Joining Kazw and cheering on from the sidelines. Apart from running the WM, I don't think that anything else today can remotely count as flying.
    Go, Iona!! Nearly there! :T
Temporarily went into headless chicken mode earlier, so I have made myself a list for tomorrow. One birthday cake and 3 puddings to make for FiL's 90th birthday on Sunday. I'm now catching up on the thread for 10 minutes before I go to pick up DD from the cinema. She's gone to see Beauty and the Beast - in the "old" days I would have got to see it with her. Mother not required these days :o
