Ionafan Congratulations.:j
Guests left at about 0100. I had to give up at about 2300. One had brought their dog (with permission - I really wanted him to come) Unfortunately I turned out to be horribly allergic so was feeling miserable.
The curry went down well. I'm glad I always have spare food - 3 mini naan were consigned to the bin. The dog jumped up and dragged them off the side in the kitchen. I was so used to Ozzie the gentleman who wouldn't even take treats on the floor until given permission:rotfl::rotfl:
Unfortunately, dog also got into our bedroom and got stressed when I tried to shoo him out. Cue late night carpet cleaning:(
Just the last load of DW to do this morning. Then I need to fly round and pack. I want everything ship shape before we leave.
I should also try and do some work. Ionafan I'll try channeling your energy, but I am not staying up until 0315 to achieve it.:oGoals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Feeling a bit brighter today. Did manage so strip mine and DS's bed yesterday so I could get the bedding on the line today. That's all been washed.
Going to clean out the bunny today. And I have errands to run.
But only 5 days to go then it's the hols

Thank you Honey Bear0 -
I am just about to go to bed - but I have finished both essays
and will submit them by daylight after I've had some zzz.
Thank you all for egging me on. The holiday will go ahead as planned :j Will phone you when we arrive at Cathedral City, Honey Bear
Well done! It's been a real grind to get through it bit you made it. I hope the journey goes smoothly.
Going to sort a big, big pile of stuff for recycling. *fling*Better is good enough.0 -
Good afternoon
I am back from the allotment - strawberries are all planted in the raised bed and watered in, onion bed weeded and watered and another bed dug for another raised bed. I need compost now to fill it up!
I am back home now - DH is hanging out the washing :T (he is well trained), and I am going to do half hour tidying in the bedroom, and get changed for my riding lesson at 2:30
I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine
No school holidays for another week for the school I pick up from, but the rest of the town/borough/county are all off, so none of the usual groups will be on, so a bit of a strange one this week.0 -
Hi all x
Been to the market followed by 3 car boot sales. It was nice to just plod around. Cost me a lot more than usual as I had everyone in tow, they're not going with me again :rotfl:
Managed to fling a load in the line before I left but other than necessities I'm not doing much else today.
Iona well done :TI'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -

I'll eat and go to bed seems simplier............Once we've finished eating, the programme's usually about half over, so I pick up my cross stitch and sort of "tune out" the tv.
Got another meet'n'greet visit on 13th April - during Ronnie's stay. So that'll be interesting. I'll get Ronnie to go in the bedroom while they're here, he can have his bed and bowl of water in there; he has his bed in there at night in any case, so he'll be fine. Normally I'd meet new prospective guests when we have no-one staying, but that'd mean leaving it til after 22nd, so not really do-able.
FFP I get where you're coming from re your birthday; Mr LW doesn't get that I don't want to celebrate or do anything, either. Luckily for me, I have a good excuse this year, as Ronnie will be here, and I won't leave him all on his own just for us to go out for a meal.
I'm no use to man nor beast today; my own fault, I vacuumed the whole bungalow yesterday, then went outside and cut the back lawn. 'Nuff said..... :cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all. Well done to Ionafan and I hope Valli and anyone feeling under the weather is better soon.
It's very quiet here. DD and her fiance have taken the dogs out for the day. DH and I went out this morning, just for an hour but it was nice to spend time together away from the house.
I CBA to cut the grass, but I have done the dailies, got the washing up to date and hoovered through.
Eating sweeties now, while contemplating what will be a week of job hunting before an actual night away at the seaside with DH - can't wait.
See you all on the new thread.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Sorry, Ive disappeared into the ether again, thank you for all the kind thoughts and good wishes .....the ex has been a massive fertilizer of epic proportions this week, complaining about all of his stuff that has been returned and the stuff that I am still pulling together, plus one of DD2 little furryfaces has been ill and sadly didnt make it .....RIP Shiftykins the gerbil. Unnatural as it might sound to some, Shifty has been buried with Domino the cat in the lavender pot, so no furry face is left behind when we move.
no houseviewings on the open house this weekend, gutted as its hard to keep cleaning, loving and looking after this house and plowing non existent cash into its upkeep.
bought a replacement steam mop yesterday, as after a month without one, I have decided I cant live without one.
So ankle biters holiday or not, I will be back on the listy tomorrow with a vengeance
hugs sticks and spoons to those in need xxThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Horse riding done - I stayed on, which is always a bonus! It was lovely riding through the woods, noticing signs of spring and listening to the birds, including the woodpeckers. DH took the dog for a walk at the same time, and he found the smelly ditch full of water!! (The dog, not the DH!) Stinky pooch!
Did a quick shop in Mr A's on the way home.
DH and I then spent too much time trying to print an Order of Service for my Step Dad's funeral on Tuesday. We bought some expensive paper yesterday especially for them, and it kept jamming up the printer! Grrrr! I ended up using Ikea paper that I had bought for the children instead!! It took far longer than it should have.
I didn't manage to sow the seeds I wanted to, as I run out of light. But I did manage to clear some detritus from the bedroom than has been gathering dust for months! Yay!0
