Arrggggg:mad:, ok i have well overspent my £40 a week budget, and still need to get more food in. The whole lot has been spent on food. The good side is, everything I have bought goes towards making meals, (provisions) as my friend said. Every pasta shape going almost, different rices, certain selection of spices, oils, stocks, etc etc. Also got organic potatoes and organic free range eggs on whoopsies at Asda. Beans tomatoes and onions all smartprice items, plus what ever i could, unfortuanly many of the basic ingredients required for the meals I am intending to get are all name branded. Least they should all last a good few months. So £51.13 later, lets hope this 'provision' shop helps reduce things in the long run.
First meal we went for, Sausage and bean bake, made that much half is now in a foil container to do one meal next week. (Looks like batch cooking is going to start happening here).19th March 2007 LBM£5,969.63 1st January 2018 £5960.18, 1st January 2019 £11,032.0018th August 2023 £12,435.00, Student Loan £22244.00 From 2009-12Challenges: To learn to stop spending..0 -

Bought family rail ticket today for when i go away with daughter next week. Her ticket to main event still hasn't turned up, but have an email from organises confirming that it was sent (abeit day postal strike finished) so like a few others (good 100 or so) will be going with my confirmation email. Have money for B+B in A&L account, now just need to sort money out for spends and food over the weekend. I am expecting my Debt total to go up this month due to the weekend, but once its over and done with, no leisure commitments left to deal with.
Keep putting it off but with just a week to go, suppose I should work out what actual money I am likely to have available.19th March 2007 LBM£5,969.63 1st January 2018 £5960.18, 1st January 2019 £11,032.0018th August 2023 £12,435.00, Student Loan £22244.00 From 2009-12Challenges: To learn to stop spending..0 -

Got a lovely letter today from college, I have been granted 100% support from Learner support fund:j, this includes my travel costs. I have worked it out and the travel costs have been back dated to first day of course. They are based on a £4 all day saver (cant get returns here anymore) So from day one (10/09/07) till Wednesday just gone (17/10/07) I have been awarded £60, what I have actually spent on travel, including the bits for the bike (lock and lights) is £46.24, so nice £13.76 profit there to go into a special savings fund for college costs. ( I only attend 3 days a week)
What I intend doing is using bike as much as I can, but on real bad weather days, the costs for both myself and DD to school via the bus are now covered.
Good thing about it is that I no longer need to subtract our fares from my weekly £40 budget, so £5.50 a week better off.
Also I have been allocated a certain sum for materials, which will cover the glass I have to pay for this week, and the photo paper I need to get after half term. Also means I can finally get all my basics in, in decent quality stuff, instead of the cheapest alternative I can find. Think only quality item I have purchased so far is my eraser:o19th March 2007 LBM£5,969.63 1st January 2018 £5960.18, 1st January 2019 £11,032.0018th August 2023 £12,435.00, Student Loan £22244.00 From 2009-12Challenges: To learn to stop spending..0 -
