Thanks MIT, to be honest with you a few years ago i had a house fire, and had an average of £8 a week for all shopping after all the debt i got myself in to replace all furnishings and appliances ASAP. It was hard then but I did manage to do it, so £20 a week seems great compared. Admittedly a lot of stuff i am buying is smart price, but when i see stuff at whoops i get that instead of the smart price. Cause I am veggie not much goes on meat, and kids will only eat certain meat (normaly mince that i find annoying) but I wont buy chops or joints if i am just going to sling them. Today they are having homemade lasange, asda mince (not smart price) smart price pasta sheets, smart price bolognese sauce, a clove of crushed garlic and asda cheese sauce. I am having soup as my ulscers have attacked again. (getting some iron tablets when paid as think thats why i am getting ulscers so often lately)

  • Jeez. No wonder you are so good with the cash. I use loads of smartprice as well cos it is near enough as good as the branded stuff. We do eat meat but not very often. Cant you get iron tablets on prescription. You wouldn't need to pay for them then.

6/11/07 £0.50 spent on train fair (1 x single). 3 mile round trip biking.

Can't sleep and listening to that wind think I am going to send daughter to school via bus today, and go to college that way myself too.

somewhat late doing yesterday's amount as had a lot of hassle whilst biking home from train station, including being spat at, accused of stealing mine and daughter's bike plus attempts to ram me off my bike, all by a youth that has given me and my family nothing but grief from the month he moved into village 2 yrs back.

MIT, More than likely could, but that means having a blood test and I am petrified of needles:eek:, contrary to belief of above mentioned youth who seems convinced I used them on a super regular basis.

7/11/07 £4.00 spent on bus fare (1 x all day saver). 0 mile round trip biking.

Due to the wind being more lively today, I like my daughter caught the bus, also since I had to wear my new long winter coat( as normal one was in wash after being spat at), I didn't want to risk damaging it in the wheels.

    :j Yay well done!:j

The weather is so horrible that I just want to curl up in front of a fire and fall asleep, not that I have a fire and my boss might not be too impressed if I fell asleep or started a fire for that matter!

I agree with MIT about your challenges being too hard! I think like most of us you want to get the debt part of your life over and done with asap but dont kill yourself to do it! What about a challenge of get 100 pounds traking on cashback sites by Christmas? Or something that is more doable?

I hope college is going well!

How about the challenge to REMEMBER to plug freezer back in AFTER cutting grass. Have just had to empty contents of the freezer as it has had 4 days to defrost in:o, so this weeks shop will be more expensive now.

How old is the "youth" you are talking about Penny?

From what i inderstand, spitting at you was assault. Spitting on you was battery. There's no reason you should need to put up with this. I know to some people it may not seem like a big deal, but if you spat on a police officer you could go to jail. He should be getting an ASBO at the very least.

Not sure if Criminal Damage can be claimed as you have had to pay to clean your coat etc. It may be only if a stain is left on the garment. Has your daughter also had this done to her?

Edit: Found a similar story as a source.
