  • Argggggg my kettle is short circuiting my electrics and my dryer has decided to die a death. Its doing everything it is suppose to apart from actually dry the clothes. Turning, making noise, using electric, just no dry clothes at the end of it.

  • Kettle is working again without short circuiting everything..YAY.

Well kind of had an early Christmas present. Have mentioned earlier that family are coming to mine this year for Christmas Dinner, mainly due to the fact I am now the only one who owns more than 2 dining chairs, and the table I bought just before my LBM is way to heavy to carry through village this year. Oh and it sits 8. Also I am now the only household in family with more than 3 place settings. Anyhow, my sister, and myself where at my mum's earlier when sister came up with, if everyone gives me £5 towards Xmas, then that should cover food and that for Christmas lunch, so £25 winging its way to me to cover costs. Takes a huge weight of my shoulder I have to admit. Now I just need to learn how the hell to cook a joint:rotfl:

  • just thought I would report, I made my korma but it had mixed reactions, or though it was edible, daughter complained because it was a veg one and the carrots where 'hard' in other words not squishy as heck and it had peas in. Son complained it wasn't spreadable:confused: and they both whined it was dry. What did they expect for my very first attempt, one like you get from an Indian restaurant.

  • Cant believe i haven't updated for almost a month, well i can for two weeks i couldn't even get on-line. Things are not good, and I have just rooted out all my old shopping receipts since i started keeping them. From spending £91 in July I spent £227 in Nov at the asda. Anyhow at sons school fare i got a free 'Doncaster choosing health' Recipe book. As well as healthy meals it has healthy budget meals in too. Uses a £ sign to represent budget meals. My kids will probs be sick of mince and pasta by the end of next week...lol.
Meal plan for upcoming Thursday to Wednesday week is as follows

    Spaghetti Bolognese
    Beany Cottage Pie
Toad in Hole (with chips)cant be super healthy....lol
    Quick Ham Pasta
Bean and Vegetable Stew (with dumplings)
    Minced Beef Pasta Bake
    Rich tomatoe and Sausage Casserole

As of yet I do not know what this is going to cost.
Sister and younger brother have put their share towards Christmas dinner anyhow, so far I have in the turkey, Christmas log, chocolate squirty cream, profiteroles, mini black forest gateaux, mini chocolate !clairs and pork leg roast. Still need my veggies and vegi alternative main plus potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. Oh also main gateaux. Its going to be a case of bring your own booze to meal, apart from one bottle of white wine and one bottle of red wine.

  • Just worked out total debt for start of 2008, :o Things just went so wrong since september, in the 9 months since i started to become debt free, I am going to be back to £5821.46, making it a grand total of £148.17 paid off since I started at end of March.. Really need to get myself sorted and my mindset in a more positive frame. We do have a holiday booked for next year, October wgw. which is going to cost me £385. Need to pay £150 deposit in January. But that is the one and only holiday.
I am hoping to get my three smallest debts paid off in January, plus I have a fourth one paid off this month.

  • So much want christmas out of the way. Have just scrapped out the last of the gloss to finish doing woodwork in bathroom. Still need to dig out where i put the tile paint, and then just need to creep round mate's fella to stick the bath panel on for me. Atleast the bathroom will look half decent for christmas.
Also need to stick two cupboard doors back on in kitchen when I find where i put them when they came off. Think I will save all the tidying up for tomorrow, and try and get all the diy stuff done today. Trying to avoid going to the shop but i know i will need both sugar and milk before the end of today.
Just in such a low mood lately. Keep feeling like I want to burst out and cry. Thing is its nothing to do with the finances, yet its this low feeling why i have gone off the spending tracks lately.
I really need to find a different way to deal with my low feelings.
