Kensington Mortgage application timescale

So I done what you had suggested and sent a little 'checking in' email and have just heard back. They have heard from Kensington today and they have asked for yet more information. They now require evidence of where the money has come from in our 3 month mortgage payments we needed to show and corresponding bank statements where it came from.... I have now sent all this over and shall again wait to hear something next week I guess...EmzJenks said:
Oh gosh we sound so similar with our situations. Never ending questions. It's the waiting inbetween isn't it, wondering if that's it. Really hope you hear something today! Maybe a cheeky email to your MA at lunchtime, "just checking in" hahaAmysmith21 said:
It is mad some of the stuff they are asking, especially if you aren't using that money towards your affordability. I had heard from others how picky they can be with documents they want. Would just be less stressful if they could ask for all documents needed in one go haha I am really hoping I hear something today. Would be nice to have some sort of movement forward before the weekendEmzJenks said:
Really hope this is the last time. I've even said to my broker this better be it now haha. I had to give even more payslips from December 2020 because they wanted to check them against my bank statements.... Which is just weird to me. So I gave my MA Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan & Feb saying just for good measure as I don't want to be asked for anything more again ha. And then they questioned why I was paid my work bonuses in a certain way ie times of year. How is that their business?! I get a bonus, it is on my payslip it is in the bank. We're not even including bonus for affordability either it's a joke.Amysmith21 said:
It is very disheartening...I think we have had 3 times of being asked questions/further documents now also and hoping that is all now. We are still waiting to hear from documents our MA uploaded to them last Friday morning and still not heard anything. Really hoping either today or Monday. Yours got reviewed quite quickly thought from documents uploaded last on Tuesday this week. Hopefully they won't take long reviewing again and will be able to book your valuation next week.EmzJenks said:Another round of questions today! That is three times now they've come back with more questions and requesting more info. Getting disheartened now
Apologies for the rant but it feels a little silly now.
You're right though they did review them quick as we only provided on Tues, wasn't expecting to hear anything today. But now we're back in the queue again

Oh man! So frustrating, I wish they would just take another day to review all docs and ask for everything at once. The back & forth is so frustrating. Even my MA thinks it's ridiculous now, she said she hopes this is the last in the "shopping list" of info for us. I told her my eyes are blue and I'm a shoe size 5 incase they want to know that too. I'm trying to just keep the faith that we'll get there eventually. Silver lining is that found out yesterday the vendors of the house we're buying haven't even had the sales memo sent out yet on the bungalow they're buying through Purple Bricks. Apparently it "slipped through the cracks" so at least I know we're not holding our chain up. That is literally the only silver lining at the momentAmysmith21 said:

Just an update. I heard from my broker yesterday. Kensington wanted proof of deposit, evidence of 3 months mortgage payments, landlord information and question regarding an unsettled default which I am paying off. Sent off all info yesterday. MA will chase them on Tuesday.Shirleyuz said:I have been following this thread. Only just stay my journey.

Full Application went in today 26/05Hoping it all goes well 🤞🏽1 -
We are still waiting to hear about our application from 19/4/21. Valuation carried 26/5/21 abs came back ok. Not a straightforward one just to add so other people don’t get put of by the timescale. I think that now is an issue our three months mortgage payments which are over £5k therefore we are slightly short £1000 I am sure they they won’t do anything until we can have that 1k on the account which will not be before the end of this month unfortunately as we need to wait for our pays. We are 75%LTV and deposit is proved with no issues however 3xmortgage payments is still not in full there.Been a very long and stressful process I and just very hopeful for the good news.Vendor is patient Howe t their patience is runing outMFiT-T6 #71

Just as a heads up we had some minor drama.
There seemed to somehow be confusion about the amount the final offer we put in was (£50 out to be exact) and they were going to redo our entire offer because of this. Our broker/solicitor have managed to work something out that this won't be the case but thought I'd mention to others to clarify all parties are aware of final offer made to the penny.
Ours was a bit confusing as we went above valuation and got into a bit of a bidding war but that £50 difference almost put us back to having to start the whole process again.
Hope you guys get your good news this week!1 -
