Cheap airport lounge access

I've just booked a No1 Lounge Clubroom at Gatwick for my Wife and I for May using the MSE discount code knocking the price down to £53.20 for the pair of us, a significant saving over the on the door price or even their own online booking discounted price. I believe Fast Track security is included.
I've not used a No1 Clubroom Lounge before and so I cannot comment. I appreciate different people have different experiences and I too look at reviews. I've read some absolute poor reviews and some good ones. I guess on the day, I can only make up my own mind. Here's hoping it's a good experience!0 -
Emirates changed the flight time on our connection from Dubai to Birmingham which meant a 7.5 hr stopover as opposed to the 90 min one I booked. We would have just got off a 14.5 hr flight from Sydney so I refused to accept the change. The did offer free cancellation of the flight but again I refused. All I requested was free entry to their lounge at Dubai but they refused, but after three emails they rescinded and my wife and i had 7 hours in their business lounge.....it was fantastic 😉👍0

Yes, the business lounges at Dubai are great aren’t they? Heading for one myself tomorrow from BHX as I’ve treated myself to business class to Brisbane. Mind you, the Emirates lounge at BHX is pretty luxurious itself.0

Tried the 2 lounges in Birmingham airport last week with my priority pass card. The reception checked my card and then refused access at both lounges. Some other types of card holders were admitted.
The Lounge reception said I should have booked a place before coming to the airport and the waiting time for access may be 2 hours.
In my experience, this disservice is only practiced by Aspire lounges, which by my reckoning, are the worst.
I notified Priority Pass expecting some support but did not get any response at all.Eddmac2, Have a great day0 -

We were told that the lounge was only accepting pre booked as they were at capacity.
So while stood at the reception desk I opened up their own page and proceed to book 2 tickets for the precise time were were there, just before purchase I showed the receptionist that they obviously were not at capacity as I could buy entry. She just waived us in without scanning my card. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

birmingham lounges do not provide automatic access, especially when using the priority pass card. I was prevented from going into both the aspire and the number 1. Other card holders were permitted. Also, paying £28 to enter a lounge is a waste of money. the food and small choice of drinks gives very poor value.Eddmac2, Have a great day0

a) I have never paid £28
b) small choice of drinks? Never have an issue, can hardly expect a full cocktail list and ten different types of gin can you? Dont know what you expect but when you are paying £5 a bottle in a bar in the main part of the airport, doesnt take many of them to make it cost neutral before you even use any of the other amenities.0 -
I've toyed with the idea of paying for lounge access but cannot warrant the cost , to get your moneys worth you need to spend a few hours there , I just arrive 2hrs before my departure so no need for lounge access"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0

Can you advise when it is expected to be up and running please?
Thanks0
