Are you expecting someone to respond to your post?
    I don't think that's going to happen.
Maybe take a look at the original post and see if the instructions in the extract below work:
Feel free to post the issue on the Site Feedback board then click the report button on your post to let us know. Your query will then go into our Zendesk queue and be picked up quickly. Many forum users already do this to let us know about an issue. Make sure you explain why you're reporting your own post

You can also PM me with the links to threads too.

If you've done the above we will be aware. If you still don't think we are, though, you can private message me.

The sames goes for geminilady's request for a 'thanks' button.

I doubt your voice will be heard here.

    Hi.
As a new member I thought I would throw my two pennies into the oil debate. Yes oil is expensive and there doesn't appear to be a good comparison site for oil, though this forum is a good start. I have just ordered some heating oil through my regular source of the oil club  at www.oil-club.co.uk with a price of 0.4149 pence per litre excluding VAT (Domestic VAT 5%). This seems a very good price and the best I could find in Cumbria

I have checked my profile and my email is not shown.
Any ideas, and are others getting the same?

You should report MSE to the Information Commissioner's Office.

There have been some well publicised cases where those proven to have been involved in sending unsolicited emails have been fined heavily.

e.g. Grove Pension Solutions Ltd of London Road, Halstead, Sevenoaks, Kent was fined £40,000 for being responsible for sending  almost 2 million unsolicited emails between 31 October 2016 and 31 October 2017.

Leave.EU Group Limited was fined £45,000, for sending unsolicited direct marketing emails without the required consent. I a separate incident they were fined another £15,000 for sending almost 300,000 unsolicited communications on a single day for which they did not have consent.

The Director of Investigations and Intelligence at the ICO said: "Spam email uses people's personal data unlawfully, filling up their inboxes and promoting products and services which they don't necessarily want."

The law is quite clear in this regard and states that organisations cannot send marketing emails unless the recipient has given them their consent to receive them.

    What a strange post.
MSE are not promoting anything, there appears to be a glitch in the new forum software that is causing an email to be generated. There have probably been thousands of posts since the new forum opened, what I can't understand is why just four have been sent to me.

Arrrg. Just missed a low price order this weekend of £0.4096 per litre via the Oil Club.

No it doesn't! It shows 1.8k threads started and 8.2k replies posted! Guess what the two figures add up to?

    Crikey.

Starting over one thousand eight hundred threads must be some sort of record.

Is there a badge for that?   ;)

Nowhere near a record. Lots of people with more than that on the Competitions Board and I suspect that is where the record is held.
