No, but I was tired. One more thing to add is that I have been on different forums where there are seperate boards for diaries and one for questions. I gave up pretty quickly because I didn't want to ask a question and the diaries hardly ever got different people on them.....

When looking for the diaries I see posts from other people and I answer them if I can. If I can't I don't post. If I wasn't looking for the diaries I probably wouldn't even look. In fact if there becomes a sub board I will probably get bored and go!

  • Got to disagree again ZTD.
This statement of yours does not hold water:

"If they're not popular, and people don't go on just for them (as you have claimed), then they're not a problem and the problem lies elsewhere. Hence they shouldn't be moved."

    1) If they are not popular (not my comment) move them out of the way.

    2) Please be clear that I have never said that they are not popular (as clearly they are going by the number of postings they have), I have only said people do not go on DFW JUST for them they go on for other things as well.

Surely a diary is just for your use anyway, and if the diaries mean that much to you you will find them. And if you care about helping new people you would go on that board and help them anyway?

Most new people that come on need help there and now yes they may get into diaries after but its usually a panic I need help and I like to help those people and I like to spot them.

If the DMP support thread was moved I would still go there its a click away not a walk!!!!
  • Snaggles's breakdown was interesting. I've a couple of questions though.

    1) Was the split three of each (for/against)?

    2) Did you choose the first three of each off this discussion thread?

    3) What do your answers prove? They could be said to 'prove' either arguement.
i.e. Diarists post more answers for newbies so keep them together, or
Non-diarists get fed up with so many diaries around (my opinion that there are a lot) together possibly with computer speeds that they only have time to look at the first page.

Please, if you quote me don't take me out of context.

  • I don't feel that strongly either way. I have a slight preference for a sub board for diaries as I rarely get time to read diaries, but if it is going to upset a lot of people then maybe it is not worth making the change?

I must admit though that I never read the stickies. It's like the sponsored results on a google search, I just skip straight past them to get to the other threads! So I definitely think we have too many stickies! :D
