Morning everyone on their debt free journey as well as anyone else who wishes to join us on our travels.
Today I feel under the weather both mentally and physically. I feel achy and lacking in energy as well as just wanting to shut myself away from the world. I am going to force myself to take the children to a HE meet this afternoon. As it is outside they can run off some energy and if it stays sunny this should make me feel better.
Today I plan to:
Wash my hair and let it dry naturally
Turn off lights and appliances not in use
Stick to the meal plan
Pack snacks and drinks for our afternoon out
Fill up my car, no other spending
Educate the children for free
Entertain us for free
Read Martin's email
RMS
Ashleigh, FPL etc
B/L/D from stores
DW set to run overnight
WM set to run overnight
Porridge soaking overnight
Keep heating to a minimum, we have jumpers and blanketsFashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

:rotfl:Hello all
Little GD is here today, so efforts are mainly aimed at preventing her watching paw patrol all day
So far we have made and eaten scones in between episodes :rotfl:
And done the washing up, and some floating and sinking experiments
After lunch, we will sow some tomato seeds
Apart from that:
Porridge and stewed fruit for breakfast (I top it with a tablespoon on Lidls Greek yogurt and it is like lovely pudding)
Dog walk
Ironed lounge curtains and put in the airing cupboard to finish drying
Picked meat off cooked pheasant legs and shredded it (for the ragu I am making)
GD and I got the toys out after doing the seeds - sadly it is really horrible, cold and wet here again today, so going outside wasn't really possible, as she is poorly with a cold and cough againWe even did the seeds on the dining table - it will take me a while to remove all the seed compost from the dining room :rotfl:
Did a load of washing, which will go on the airer later
The ragu was a huge success, served with pasta and parmesan. We had more of the blackberry cobbler with salted caramel ice cream for pudding
Better see what GD wants, back later0 -
This morning Ive cancelled my RAC (had for 11 years and never used) and washing machine insurance (needed to have it for 12months to get a "free" part, have ended up keeping it for 3 years!)
thats a total of £39.74 saved which by December will be £357.66 toward our £14,000 target (my sig says 4k as I'm "letting" DH save the other 10 :rotfl:Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.0 -
Hello all,
Shocking night's sleep. Was wide awake so put my little clock on to see how near to getting up time it was & it was only bloody 2.10 a.m!! Felt sad about something last night (I don't want to rake up the feelings again by going over the details) & although I did get to sleep, once I awoke, I just couldn't switch my brain off & stop myself 'catastrophizing'. By the time the alarm went off I was so knackered, I almost forgot it was weigh-day - at least that was good news, another 2lbs off, so I am now officially 1 stone lighter than I was in December......though this is me having to lose a bit of re-gained weight, so annoying too, IYSWIM. Anyway, been quite productive:
*An hour of free fitness & vitamin D outside in the garden clearing another big bed.
*Transferred £64 of sock knitting money to our Loan Pay Down Fund & updated my signature.
*Made dough for bread rolls & pizza base (just on their 2nd proving now).
*Put chickpeas in to soak as I am going to batch-cook spicy chickpea burgers tomorrow.
*2 nice hot baths from 1 lot of hot water (got to get back into all my little energy-saving ways now I know that electricity prices are going up shortly).
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch (not done yet as intend to use one of my fresh bread rolls when they come out of the oven).
*Found a couple of wombled individually wrapped Clipper tea bags at the back of the drinks cupboard. No idea from whence they came but the first of them provided a very ncie free afternoon drink.
*Sorted laundry & only ironed what really needed it. The 'ironing' pile contained 3 loads but only 3 shirts & 1 top actually required ironing.
*Am wearing a dress I've felt a bit too podgy to wear for a bit, so that always feels a bit like a 'new' wardrobe item, doesn't it?
*mr f is dropping me in town for my meeting tonight & collecting me to save on parking & because he thinks I'm safer that way, which is sweet of him. Our town is not particularly dodgy, it's quite afflluent, but I have always been a bit of a magnet for weirdos - I must have a kind face or perhaps they sense their own?? - so he will always pick me up when he can. Must have saved a lot on evening parking that way as I do have to attend a fair few meetings.
Well, must go & see if those bread rolls are ready to go in the oven & chuck some interesting bits on my pizzas.
Take care all,

Hi All
Today's efforts
1. Borrowed OHs travel card because he was working from home.
2. Took a scratch card that I'd won a pound on in to cash in, bought another instead and won another £. Mugs game
3. Wombled a really nice pair of waterproof fleece lined baby gloves which I checked out the price of and they were £12!! Jo Jo Mamon Bebe.
4. Found 24p roadkill
5. Walked lots
6. Bought a 4kg bag of spuds for £1.90 and doing jackets for dinner.
7. Checked banking.
8. My pay day treat was......A shredder! My old one died ages ago (6m+) so my shredding basket is reasonably full. This new bad boy can shred credit cards (handy) and comes with a 1 year warranty for the machine, plus a 3 year warranty for the blades. Rock and roll people.
9. Doing well on operation stock up. Added another 3 items to the freezer today and 2 to the dry store.
10. Have DD leftover pasta Bolognese for lunch.

You sure know how to live Bobarella!
I think I need a new printer, or maybe some proper ink. How to decide as they will probably both cost about the same! I'm mad at myself as I bought four sets of ink which is a huge waste of money if it's those. I've tried printing half a dozen of the same thing to get the ink flowing properly but no luck. I'm trying to print a label for WBB and the bar code is unreadable
I've done all the washing up and put some free table foamy stuff down the sink which was taking a while to drain and it seems to have done the trick.
I've put the recycling bin out ready for collection tomorrow morning.
Tonight's dinner will be the pork belly slices with either barbecue sauce or something called (I think) Holy Trinity sauce. I picked up all these weird and wonderful things from the free table and then never use them (like Mole, some kind of chilli and chocolate thing, never heard of it before but I have a jar!) I'm going to do them with jacket potatoes and cheesy coleslaw all of which we already have.
I need to put a couple of loads in the washing machine too.

Hi all
Why are you stocking up Bob? Is there snow planned? ;-)
I'm trying to use up food from freezer and stores after a spendthrift half term. Had breaded chicken strips with rice and frozen veg.
Been at work, NSD and took packed lunch to work. Free coffees at work.
