DH and I are currently sat putting all our dvds and cds into 3 different selling apps to see which one gives the most and then putting them in the corresponding pile. The excitement in my life overwhelms me sometimes :rotfl:Preparing to go bankrupt April 20200

Morning gang,
Yorkshirelass - I know that very worry you mean. It's constantly in the back of my head that OH's contract ends in May. I guess by thinking about how sensible you are being with the money you are earning from it at the moment you can try to stay positive - any time a worry creeps in you can flip it on its head. I've been trying that with OH's job situ.. :grouphug:
I'm getting the tram to work today so have a whole extra 45 min at home this morning so I thought I'd spend it with you and YNAB.Actually quite good as loads of bills come out on the 1st so I'm happy for the extra budgeting time. I think the tram is about £4.50 at this time of the morning though so not something I'd like to do every day...
Here's me:
Cheapo porridge brekkie - there is a complete ban on other cereals now - don't even look at them.
Packed lunches for me and OH
Will need to remember to get something out for tea...
We bought a massive 10kg I think of coconut oil about 2 years ago - now fill up a pot for frying/cooking etc. Much cheaper than the little pots at the SM.
PAD to CCs
WM on quick was and put other clothes away
There must be more but I'll catch up with you later I'm sure.0 -
Morning
happy Wednesday :j and my last day off today then working for 3 days - oh the trauma!
allthe7s I was/am my daughter's carer and it really pushed our relationship to the limits. She has been in a good phase for over 6 months now and so that has meant I have had a massive reprieve in what I need to do for her and our relationship is returning to a place where it should beIt's hard going though, as often I found I was at the brunt of her frustrations and she took it out on me which had a massive impact on my own wellbeing.
La E I've been reading about sugar that is in EVERYTHING and quite frankly the amount of sugar in cereals is shockingWheatabix or porridge only in this house!
Yorkshire sorry to hear about your worries with your job. Only real thing you can is carry on as you are (I know it's easier said than done but know that worrying will not change the outcome in the future just rob you of peace in the present). When the times comes you'll figure it out x
foxgloves thanks for that! I'm trying to give up sugar but I clearly have a massive addictionand since I've been *trying* I've been eating ridiculous amounts of the stuff! Think I need to change tracks. Damn Christmas! My junk food addiction always goes out of control after it
carrie/La E I had to hide the konmarie from my news feed as it overwhelmed my page! I might reread the book as we dearly need some inspiration again!

Morning!
Well my plan to become a millionaire through surveys is progressing well - I have a whopping £3.50 in my valued opinions account. It's not something I'm going to do long term, but if I can get a payout or two during quiet periods with work then I'll be happy.
A few other bits to do today:
- hang laundry out on airers (raining here, boo)
- Make sure YNAB matches up with my bank account now a load of direct debits have gone out
- social media for work
- batch cook homemade baked beans
- start to plan Child 2 and Child 3's birthday presents - mega budget for these (unlike previous 'we should stick to budget... Oh look at that lovely £100 wooden toy' efforts)
- buy cheapo biscuits for playdate laterTrying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.0 -

This morning Ive cancelled my RAC (had for 11 years and never used) and washing machine insurance (needed to have it for 12months to get a "free" part, have ended up keeping it for 3 years!)
thats a total of £39.74 saved which by December will be £357.66 toward our £14,000 target (my sig says 4k as I'm "letting" DH save the other 10 :rotfl:Preparing to go bankrupt April 20200 -
Morning moneysavers:)
Have been meaning to post but I've been so tired after the weekend away that I just kept dropping off to sleep really early....frustratingly sometimes with the radio still on and then waking at 3am to switch it off.
For March I have decided to log everything I spend as I have absolutely no idea how much I spend on groceries each month:o
Did a big shop last night as more practical with my daughter with me and had a £4 voucher with Tesc@s so I'm hoping that not much shopping will be needed for a couple of weeks. This is going into the March grocery spend as it should have been done today.
The family do like to buy Easter eggs for each other, so took advantage of the Tesc@ egg offer. What I have decided to do is just get my daughter a small egg and some more bits to go into her uni supplies. They are building up nicely and should hopefully save her a few pounds in the full swing of student life....not that I can see my daughter getting into the full swing as she suffers from fatigue and is paranoid about not having money in her pocket. She has savings and sets herself a budget each month. Some of her friends have two jobs and follow budgets, so a group of moneysavers in the making, I just don't want my daughter to become paranoid about money.
It's a definite catch up on housework, the sun is shining so might get some washing on the line.
Have a great day everyone:)Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*update budget
*[STRIKE]pay rent[/STRIKE] done
*[STRIKE]food shop using vouchers[/STRIKE] done
