Thanks. We're going to the garden centre this afternoon so I can chill out buying seeds, some new nest boxes and undoubtedly other stuff I can't resist (had a voucher for Xmas) finishing off with a free coffee and gf cake.
So far today Mr N has done a lot of gardening.
1 load washing done and hung out.
I have emailed a pay claim, sent out a church flower rota, checked and emailed a student's essay, printed and signed a report and invoice, made amendments to another report, put my travel insurance details on the cruise web site........so that's a lot off the list even if it is the quicker stuff.
Dizzy hopefully you are flood free.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Welcome back Jazee we've missed you xx
Had a blitz of LR, kitchen and conservatory while DD was out dancing. They wanted McDs  so stopped en route home. DD is six-and -half today haha so we are having cake
Washing mostly up to date and its glorious out so washing and piggies are in the back garden. Think we'll be mostly relaxing this aft since we are out all day tomorrow with 3 dance exams and a football match...
It was forecast rain today, apparently it's now tomorrow - hope not. Field will be a mud bath.
Right, I'm just finishing my lunch (McDs doesn't really do it for me...) then I'll get kit bags together and maybe find a film to watch...
Hope you all have a nice weekendBossymoo

Me again. You won't get rid of me now! From my list:
[STRIKE]Dye DD's hair[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Have a go at making fudge (practise for the wedding favours)[/STRIKE] Don't know yet what it's like though.
[STRIKE]Dailies and dog walking[/STRIKE] Dogs have also been bathed because it was a muddy walk. May do another one later.
Sort out cupboard of doom
Clean car
Paint gloss in hall
Start tidying the garden
Shopping trip with DH (needs not wants)
I've also popped to the shops for some supplies, kept everyone fed and watered and taken DH to work. He's attempting a full shift today.
Next I am going to read the papers for a while (whole week to catch up on) and I've promised DD and her fiance tea and doughnuts later.
Obviously not going sugar free here. I sneaked a pack of wine gums into the shopping basket too.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Good morning!
WM on again. After 3 loads yesterday, that is getting a bit repetitive. Yesterday we did the washing line shuffle - just got the 3rd load out when it rained. Then sunshine, so back out we go....then rain. You get the picture! Gave up, then had 3 loads indoors, which there really isn't any room for. Anyway, all dry now, so I thought I'd do some more. This lot is definitely in, as it is blustery showers again.
Out most of yesterday afternoon, taking DD to riding. I was hoping to get a few things done today around the house and garden (I'm with you Narco on the garden temptations. Seeds to sow etc etc), but we have to get her gear for D of E. Oh well at least it will be a job off the list I suppose....
Have a good Sunday everyone.0 -
well, as temporary full time work looms DS threw a spanner in the works by trashing his car in a soft verge. He's fine *phew*
I have a HUUUUUUUGE list of 'bitty' jobs and errands to do today and tomorrow...

thank you everyone for good wishes. EX finally responded by saying bring his stuff out of storage if I dont want to pay for it and put it in the family garage.......then my solicitor went ballistic with both barrels.
I am going to go the lock up tomorrow and rejig a few bits with more boxes for the irregularly shaped stuff, so I might be able to stack it better, then try and pack in as many of the other 50 boxes as I can to get them gone in go, as he has begrudgingly agreed to go get them
I did finish the living pit floor, but the kids beat me awake this morning, and it looks awful, so I will get some energy together in a minute and try again.
My pancreas and I are having a row today, and so far my pancreas is winning, so getting anything useful done is going to be a big ask.
Big hugs, sticks and spoons to everyone, and will see you on the new thread :wave:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Hi all
I am here ....sorry I haven't been back online since my last post - a combination of my computer throwing all of it's toys out of the pram and life just being extremely busy right now, (MIL very ill, I'm in a new role in work and doing lots of training and on probationary period, hubby grieving after losing his dad - it's all go here) x
Anyway thanks to all who welcomed me back and sent me hugs....very, very gratefully received :A
MIL is being admitted into hospital tomorrow and op is on Tuesday - we're all on pins obviously but at the same time soooo glad that at last she is getting it and hope to god they get all the cancer out.
I'm going to be concentrating on my bedroom for the next few hours to provide some sort of peaceful haven for hubby to relax as best as he can with all of the stuff that is going on in that poor man's head at the moment
Thank you for the lists Valli and Natty and I look forward to checking the new one out in the morning before work/afternoon after work tomorrow.
Hugs to all that need/want them xx0 -
Afternoon all. Glad that your DS is ok Valli, and hope all goes well for your MIL Jenny.
Today I have done dailies and walked the dogs. Changed and washed the bedding and been out shopping for household stuff with DH. Got some things, but very uninspired. Now have stitching of curtains to do.
Fudge not overly successful yesterday so I will be looking up alternative recipes, and DH didn't manage the full shift. I had to go in last night and help him.
Hope everyone is having a great Sunday afternoon. See you all on the next thread.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Hi still lurking. Hope to be back on full form tomorrow. Not done much DD ill. Vomited all over her rag rug, I have the joy of cleaning it. Stuck it in the he garage out of nose way. I will put that on my list for tomorrow.
Off to empty dish washer then much deserved glass wine and tv catch up.
I am on sugar free for lent .0 -
Have stripped and remade DS's and my bed, and commandeered DD to help with matress turning.
Been to town. Got a new foundation free as my previous one had jammed, so gave DD the No. 7 copon. Bought a cleanser for less than halp price with a coupon and got a basket full of YS stuff in M&S at final reduction price. Got new wheels for DS's car for £30 when I eventually found scrapyard. Once they're on it's to go and be checked over.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
