I think tonsillitis is doing the rounds - a few people off college this week and next doors grandbeast has it too - aww.

Been for my interview which went well, had to hand in a piece of work I'd prepared plus do a handwritten bit while I was in there. Really, my handwriting is not pleasant! Anyway, in all honestly, I'm not a bit concerned and expect an offer in the next couple of weeks.

Before that I did make a start on the spare room of doom. DS had a pile of clothes in there, so I've put those away, and sorted the cases to go back in the loft. There is still some bedding to put away, and more kids clothes to sort, but I'm thinking of doing their entire wardrobes soon anyway, now I've got my big essay out of the way.

But, it won't happen tonight, we have gymnastics and football so I'm going to sort some packed "tea" - just popped to aldi for supplies - and get our bags together. Ooh, I'll charge the kindle too!

Have a nice evening everyone xx

    Evening all,

Managed to complete Monday's flying ok. But the black cloud of doom hit on Tuesday and hardly any flying has been done in the last couple of days.

Managed to clean bathroom, strip and remake beds, dust and hoover bedroom. Then off to hosp app to find out I need another op after being butchered the first time.

    Evening everyone.
Managed to dash around like a mad thing before work to dust and vacuum living room and hall, plus a sneaky vac in DD's bedroom. Bedding from DD's bed went into WM and hung up before I went, so that was dry when I came home.
Another dash when I got back to clean the shower room and downstairs loo, then it was off out to parents' evening. Was glad that dinner only needed reheating when we got back. I saw off a couple of tadpoles that were threatening to become frogs, but the big toad is still craoking at me drom the corner of the room. He will have to be seen off when I have the energy to deal with people on the phone. A job I hate, which is why he is there in the first place!
So now it is on the sofa with a cuppa.
Hope the poorlies are feeling better. X

Thanks for mentioning tonsillitis, Bossy. My throat is on fire, but it didn't occur to me it was anything more than a sore throat. I have developed a deep base voice and I'm barely able to talk above a whisker it's so painful, so now I know how to look after it. Much appreciated.

Whatever the interview was for, good luck with it. Handing in an essay is marvellous feeling. I always felt lighter and carefree afterwards for a few days - until the next assignment was given.

Cheering you on from my sickbed, Mumof2. I worry when you don't post, so although I know you're exhausted it's good to hear from you. (((Hugs)))

DuckyDo, I'm not sure I said Welcome! Pardon my oversight if I overlooked your first post. Don't worry about not doing enough - every single thing you do is progress and cumulatively it'll get you where you want to be. Even low level flying is an achievement and will make a difference. I hope you don't need a second op and that you get better without it really quickly.

Inevitably the builder had arrived as I was out collecting the Scot**guard, and he's left two half footprints and a splot on the brand new carpet. *sigh* I should go down there and deal with the marks but I'm going to run out of time or energy if I don't balance things really, really carefully over the next couple of days, so I'm taking this morning off to have a bit of a break and I'll get cracking again this afternoon. I knew going to the pub last night was a mistake but it was a good friend's birthday so it wouldn't have felt right ducking out of it.
    Better is good enough.
  • Morning everyone

back to get some work done. Having a sorry for myself day today. Medications got all messed up yesterday, left me exhausted and knuckle dragging. But I did manage to get DS a money saving World Book Day costume for nothing. My DS had already had his hair clipped very short, but not quite bald......smart suit jacket in the wardrobe, made a black bow tie out of a pair of socks, got a water bottle, a good squeeze of green paint, two labels one saying "Top Secret" the other saying "Kryptonite".......so I sent him in as Lex Luther.......he was chuffed as he found two kids as Superman at school so it worked!

Legal frogs all started croaking yesterday and I have been told I need to bring all the EX's nicely packed up gibble back out of storage and back home. I have paid out for a storage unit to house 100 boxes of his gibble since December, plus help from a young man who can fetch and carry for me.... and he has no interest in coming to collect it despite him writing and asking for it, and because the contract is my name the ex can hold me financially hostage with it and just refused month after month to go and get it.

Worse still, I have been waiting for him to empty it, as I have another 50 boxes of his stuff ready sorted to take to the lock up. Plus, I still havent finished sorting his gibble.......legally he cant come to the house to pick it up, and I am not having his embryo of a gf and her mother come shouting the odds at me like they did before when picking up his sports car. So he will have to get an independent removals firm to come and get his stuff. I cannot do anything to recoup my losses, other than cancel the storage contract and then pay my young man who to drag it all back. I can't even sell anything to break even. So I just keep suffering the manipulation.

Looking for a creative solution that wont get my backside sued off.

I need to have :coffee: and just start yesterdays listy, living pit looks like a pit, although in reality it shouldn't take to long if I ignore the packing boxes.

Maybe I should stop typing now, hit send and make a start
The cold never bothered me anyway
