Good morning my lovelies!
I'm on flood alert....again...just ignoring the pounding rain and water-soaked [STRIKE]lakes[/STRIKE] fields. La-la-la  can't hear the helicopter flying over to check river levels...
Been shopping. Eaten two fresh cream choux buns. Easily done, as they are made of air :rotfl: and now sofadn with a cuppa.
DH has decided to go back to work on Monday :j as the doctors have given him the thumbs up. 14 days from partial knee replacement surgery is not too bad!
I have cleaned the fish tank, the bathroom, the hob and extractor (yuk!) put WM &TD on twice, washed up brekkie things and done HHI. Oh, and had a quick site meeting with my plumber and rejected a sand delivery due to poor quality, so then had the rep round so I could chew his ear (poor man).
And, it's only just past 11am :T
Boo, hiss and rude raspberries to awkward ex-partners and the like. Hugs to you Skinty.
Finally, virtual Lemsips to all poorlies - get well soon!0 -
Morning all (just!)
I have been in this week, just lurking more than normal. Been busy getting some financials sorted, ebaying bits and generally trying to be frugal.
DH has been away a lot this week and is working all weekend so it's just me and the kiddies. Forecast is awful (what's new) so will need to get my thinking cap on for something for us to do.
Big hugs to everyone. you are in my thoughts xxMFW

Afternoon all.
Skinty, that is horrible manipulation by your ex. (((Hugs))) to you.
Honey Bear, I hope you can get rid of the tonsillitis quickly. Rest up and get yourself to a doctor if necessary. It's so debilitating.
Dizzy, glad to hear that your DH is well enough to go back to work next week.
A very slow start to the day today, but I have kicked DH into some semblance of action and he has made 2 phonecalls and done a lot of Internet surfing. I've also managed a bit of German translation, sent 4 emails, S&S'd the kitchen, and put away the jigsaw and tidied the LR.
I must go and make lunch next...0 -
Good evening everyone,
Lots of hugs all round, and blankets for the poorlies to snuggle up in.
Rain be gone vibes for Dizzy, although judging by the sound of it out there, I'm not doing such a great job with those vibes.
Not alot to report on today, other than the usual (yawn!) WM, HHI, DW, dinner cooked etc etc. DD and I are having a movie night in a minute. Sound up to drown out the beating rain.
Keep dry and warm all.

This week has rushed by.
Skinty what a complete.....pain.....the ex is
anti-tonsillitis vibes where needed.
I managed to get the house vaguely under control for when my brother came, it was a bit ships in the night really as he was early and I've had a busy work week. Still, now he's gone I have written a humungous list (7 reports to write) including quick fixes like read the meter, so I have done 4 small but critical things off it since dinner. I think an early night is in order then I have the weekend to tackle it all.
Mr N was around this afternoon after taking his mum to doctor and dentist this morning. Bless him, did a load of washing and sorted out a pile of dry stuff which I put away later.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Tv stand dusted
More towels washed
Airing cupboard sorted
Bags packed, show time beckons (stomach didn't flatten so buttons moved)

Good morning flyladies. Hope you're all ok today. I've only quickly read back this page so hope the poorlies are feeling better soon, that legal remedies are found, well done on weight loss and extra work (Valli) and that's all I can remember. Sticks and spoons on offer to all who need them.
I am back to flying although it's mainly been about getting the house straight now the refurb is finished.
Today DD and her fiance are coming round so I plan to:
Dye DD's hair
Have a go at making fudge (practise for the wedding favours)
Other things to do this weekend (and other weekends if I don't get time):
Dailies and dog walking
Sort out cupboard of doom
Clean car
Paint gloss in hall
Start tidying the garden
Shopping trip with DH (needs not wants)
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Hors de combat here, but cheering everyone on.Better is good enough.0

Honey Bear thanks for worrying about me but I'm fine just stupidly busy - worked all day again yesterday and this morning done 90 minutes worth. Not doing any more typing today as RSI bothering me as my arms need a break! Sorry to hear you've got tonsillitis - sending you a hug x
Jazee ohhhh fudge ...... luverly! Got a horribly sweet tooth but am doing my best to go sugar free due to ever increasing waist line.
Narco sounds like you're as busy as ever - hard isn't it when you've got a lot on. Don't put too much on your list, make sure to have a weekend break.
Dizzy hope you're OK after the flood warning and hearing the helicopters around .... last thing you want is more rain I'm sure.
Skinty how on earth do you cope with ex behaving the way he does .... not on grrrrrr
Going to make lunch for me and S - Z and J are away diving so we've had a lovely chilled morning (he's still in his PJs). Might take the dogs out this afternoon. I'd like to sew but probably ought to try to get S out and it'll feel good to stretch my legs. Flying wise, just heard the beeper go on the WM so will sort that and then get next lot ready for tomorrow.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0
