*Healing vibes* for your DD, FFP.
I'm miserable with this cold. Neighbour who used to be a lodger called round to say she'd been offered a PhD place, and I was too sniffy and coughy to give her a hug.
3 loads through the WM because tomorrow is supposed to be fine. I may even be able to get some of the big stuff out overnight while it's blowey which would be helpful.
Sco**hguard sourced locally so I don't have to pay Ama**n their ridiculous shipping costs and I can do the two new carpets myself which should help keep them pristine. Builder coming tomorrow to take a bit of door off where the underlay has pushed the new carpet up.Better is good enough.0 -

Morning all.
Sorry you're miserable with your cold, Honey Bear. GWS vibes are on their way to you.
FFP, what a way to fly! I'm envious of your energy.
Don't starve yourself, dancemum - you'll need lots of energy for the show!
Hope this week is going better for you than last, Dizzy.
Nearly went down with a migraine yesterday, but I managed to stave it off in the only way that works. It seems that I was overtired from TuesdayBetter now.
Spent several hours yesterday talking to DH about when and where we might get away for a few days. He is being refused any travel/medical insurance because he is awaiting the results of more investigations, so we shall not be able to fly off to warmer climesand that means probably a trip to the West Country instead - and hopefully a Flymeet
)
Today's schedule:
- Breakfast, shower, dress
- S&S kitchen
- Pre-season meeting for volunteers at my NT property this morning
- Possible walk with DH this afternoon, if we don't get another downpour like we did yesterday
- More reading
- Church meeting this evening
Not much time in between for flying :rotfl:
Catch up later. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to all in need xx0 -
Morning all x
So far today I've
Made the beds that have been vacated
WM is on
DD has gone back to school today so has been decluttered out the door
Rubbish taken out
Going to try hanging the washing out today as it's quite nice out.
iona it's not great energy, I'm aff the fags! Keeping busy rather than killing!I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Thanks for the GWS vibes Ionafan. My throat's on fire today but the cold itself isn't as bad as it was. OH is being lovely, which always helps. I hope the migraine keeps away.
If you're thinking of the southwest and you'd like a little warmth I'd suggest the Isles of Scilly if you haven't been before. It's fabulous beyond belief, totally unspoilt and although you can fly if the weather's good enough, it's a three hour trip by ferry. We went there for my 40th birthday and got stuck there on the last day due to the weather, oh how sad I was (not). I've never been to Lundy but I hear good things about it, too. And I'm all in favour of a Flylady Meet - I seem to remember Raphael is here, too. Plus, there are lots and lots of trains down here, very pretty branch lines, steam trains, the whole caboodle.
Most of the washing I pegged out last night is dryish but I can't get to the tumble drier to finish it off because I've piled a load of furniture in front of it - my mistake. I've got another two loads through the WM today because it's warm and sunny here, but rain all day tomorrow. Builder's been delayed but should be here about lunchtime to sort the door out and I'm waiting for a phone call to say that a local business has got fresh supplies of Sco**guard because they're cheaper than Ama*on. Yesssss. Big carpet scraps have been marked up as rugs and mats for edge binding, a suitcase is off to the CS filled with old sets of bedding and I've got two bags of stuff for the tip. That should just about do it for today.Better is good enough.0 -
Gosh been total AWOL for weeks! Had horrible tonsillitis and then half term, other ailments etc House is beginning to look a bit shabby now. I will try tonight for a bit to do some cleaning but I've also got to adjust my sons costume for the show he is in.Oct grocery budget £368.40 / 6000

Afternoon all,
Valli well done for the slimming!
Dancemum I wish there was such a thing as stomach flattening food!
Yesterday was good, I got loads done. After a haircut I:
Cleaned kitchen windows
Cleared worktops
Wiped them
Tidied conservatory for ten mins
Cleaned front door
Dusted conservatory
Stripped all beds, washed and remade
Wiped beds and tidied them (dds have shelves on)
Emptied all bins
Hoovered and wiped sofas
Tidied the bathroom
Cleaned the bath
Did some ironing
Today however I've got a cold. Took the dog for a long walk this morning, and now I've got cba.
I'm hoping that posting here will make me find some guag.
I've got until 3.25 to do lots.
Ps FFP hope your dd is better. X0
