Meltdown city here this week so far.

I have to drop DS1 at the station later but first I am flying at my parents's home.0 -
Oven cleaned!! and redone kitchen floor
*admiration*Boom!
I have certificates and stickers...I have been given my Slimmer of The Week cert (they go on 'display' until the month end); I am Slimmer of the Month, I have my 1 stone sticker and certificate and I won the raffle!
Yay hay! Jolly well done, Valli.
Has anyone heard from Jazee recently?
Carpet man is here; arrived at 8.00 am and fortunately I was absolutely ready for him. It's the same chap as 15 years ago, so I've asked him to do a tiny repair where needed in another room. He said the carpets we're replacing have held up well, which I don't think I fully agree with, so I suppose that's a reflection on the quality of what went down in the letting rooms which wasn't as good as the rest of the house. (It will be now.) I said they come up beautifully when I wash them - should I have washed them more regularly. He said No! Washing carpets sucks all the natural oils out of them, apparently. So, despite carpet manufacturers saying they should be washed every six months, they shouldn't. Quelle surprise.
Breadmaker on, dog walked, everything tidy. I've got a cold coming on, grr.Better is good enough.0 -
Well done Valli!
Interesting about carpet washing Honey Bear - hope your cold goes before it turns into anything too annoying.
Can you believe it folks?! It's Tuesday, and I'm still here!! Woke up in the baby's room, exhausted from what felt like feeding allllll night so decided the best cure was to get up and on it. Just yesterday's windows left to do but other than that, list complete. Baby had a nap in his own bed for 40 mins - long enough to sort the washing, do everything except Hoover in bedroom and landing (wait til he's awake) and I've even managed to straighten my hair!! Think the sunshine and blue sky is having a positive effect - windows are open and I'm loving the fresh air. Have a lovely day all.0 -
Good day so far
In addition to what I did when I posted earlier, I have:
- Picked up some food shopping
- Loaded and unloaded TD
- Unloaded DW
- Done 2 more hours work
- Tidied old breadmaker into the garage ready to go to the tip
- Made all beds and airing the rooms
- Got rid of leaves by front door and wiped over all the UPVC (looked mucky)
Now time for an early lunch with DS then I will crack on some more xxMFW

Wow Valli that was a successful meeting! You sound so positive, it's lovely.
Has been a fly-free zone here but I've finished all of my essay (all 14 pages!) and I've done the work they want for my interview on Thursday as well. Just need to feed the printer some new ink...
Have made pancakes with kiddies, then they wanted dinner as wellso I'm just catching up here while it's quiet.
Actually, I've also stripped my bed and remade, washed the bedding and hung it on radiators - since I put piggy bedding out on the whirligig and it got wet. So that's now in the conservatory with the dehumidifier on...
I've got a fling boogie going on too. Tis bin day tomorrow so I've been rooting through bedrooms for tat and I'm going to do my study too. I have a pile of crap behind my desk I don't even know what's there... And if I want to get to the aforementioned ink, well I'll need to clear it!
Off I go!Bossymoo

Hi all
Dizzy I would be jibbering in a corner somewhere if it wasnt for the gym. Its kind of like an invisible force field against the anxiety for me but I have complete respect for Valli, that takes some doing.
Been out for tea - DHs birthday - it was lovely. Rarely do we all sit together and chat properly. I came away feeling old, my boys are so grown up.
So not much flying done today but I am working at home tomorrow afternoon so will do some swishing and swiping.
Oh and like Bossy I have been into the back of the bedroom cupboard and emptied a box full of stuff that had me saying "why on earth did we keep this?" Feels great when it is gone.0 -
Hah, just had a friend text me saying her year 10 DD saw my (year 1) DD in a video about reading that they are showing across all the academy's in our group. Found it on one of the websites. Lordy but that child sounds Yorkshire lolol.
Flingathon completed for today, all college stuff printed and moved into a lever arch file as it no longer fits in a regular binder
Might have a shower and get in my nice clean bedBossymoo
