Alright, since I did own one, many, many moons ago it was good and memories... very cherished it has been... sort off
Very importantly- wander how good reception, sound volume, clarity, but seems OK..

@£40 for all the grannies and to have one as spare? On the plus side, it also means much better battery life. Nokia is claiming 25 days with a 22 hour talk time, which is a lot better than you’d see from any iPhone.
Nokia’s new owner HMD has said that the phone will be available to buy sometime in Q2 this year, which each handset costing around $50.
Very importantly- wander how good reception, sound volume, clarity, but seems OK..

If I didn't already have a back up phone I'd be tempted.0

I still have the original 3310, along with a Nokia 3410, which I was using until last year.
I have a smartphone now. It's not as ergonomic and battery-life is appalling, but very occasionally it's a handy navigational aid and boredom-stopper on long train journeys. Or it would be if the battery lasted more than 2hrs under heavy use.
I think there's a place for a small phone for basic use. The main attractions would be long battery-life, reliability and size/weight.
But I'm not sure about the redesigned 3310 -- why does it have a 2MP camera? And why doesn't it support 3G? My SIM won't even work in a non-3G phone. The new 3310 sounds obsolete already.0 -

No swapsies!
Nokia as business and a brand trying to get out of M$ disaster, trying to compete with Chinese manufacturers (if it isn't made in China)...
Talking of which there some models with 2+SIM and 3G support and better optics already....
Cheaper too!

They could at least have made it 3G enabled.
As has been mentioned in news reports of this, they also released details of three Android smartphones, and they would have got very little news coverage if it weren't for the 'relaunch' of the Nokia 3310. So its a winner in that sense.0 -
Quick deflation over (lack off) 3G TBH ...0

It's a waste of time as not being at least 3G, you are buying ten year old tech, still might be OK on Voda and O2 :rotfl:0

As a 2G-only handset it's already obsolete. I guess an improved version will appear around nine months later...0

I can see it selling very well with the elderly. My mum is 82 and really struggles with smartphones. All she needs is a phone for calls and the occasional text so it would be perfect for her.0
