Breakfast:2 slices of wholemeal toast (co-incidence,eaten before reading joedenise's post upthread.(4.5 syns plus 1 HEB),with marg (1 syn) and Marmite, followed by 2 apples
Lunch(very late ,about 5pm:eek:): bacon,eggs,baby plum tomtaoes,baked beans
Tea: tangine:butternut sqush,onion,red peppers,tinned tomatoes,garlic,chick peas,served with rice and naan bread,which didn't have a brand,but most seem to be about 15-16 syns
Milk used in cups of tea(HEA),also 2 teaspoons of sugar (2 syns) in a couple of coffees.
That's better on the syns front but ONLY if you are going down the weekly syns route (105 syns from one WI to the next). If you're still planning on daily syns then you have gone over by 7.5 syns which is another half a day's syns.
To use your syns without reawakening your sweet tooth how about using things like gravy granules, sauces (brown, tomato, sweet chilli etc); butter in your mash etc. If you like to have a drink then a glass or 2 of wine occasionally or a spirit with diet mixer. Hope that gives you some ideas.
If you want to have the chocolate would you be able to split it up into little bags of say 5-6 syns each and just have one or two a day? Personally chocolate doesn't bother me too much but I do keep a bar of dark chocolate in the fridge and can quite easily just have a couple of squares at 1 syn each but I know that is very difficult for a lot of people.

Well done missli. :T You're learning and won't make that mistake again.
I wish avocados were Speed though! They are in Aldi Super 6 this week, not much else I needed but I did buy some flat leaved parsley and we enjoyed the herby mash last night.
I'm going to call in Lidl later and stock up on some jars of cornichons. Last week I had gherkins from Aldi and found them far too sharp and vinegary compared to the nutty taste I like. I did buy some jalapenos from Aldi yesterday. They'll be good with a cottage cheese JP.
Glad your post worked lois. Commiserations on your STS. Do you know why? One consolation ( like wiz was saying yesterday) is that without following the plan we'd likely be gaining loads.
Today's looking a bit low on Speed by my standards so I'm planning to have lunch in the city centre before the match. Probably a tuna Nicoise salad in Pret which is 100% Speed except for the tuna. Then I'll add a few mushrooms to the curry as the last one had rather a high sauce to meat ratio!
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, fried egg, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: Tuna saladchicken curry with mushrooms, rice and SW chips
Syns: 6 for curry, weekend wine
Haven't decided whether to take coffee to the match yet. It might involve half a Crunchie. Today's getting worse and worse!:o0 -
Welcome to the thread and to SW AlwaysHappy. Keeping posting your menu plans and there's always someone around who can pick up if you're doing anything wrong. Your 1st day's plan was quite good but as Maman said bananas are just Free and not Speed. Much better to go for Speed fruit and veg - strawberries, raspberries, melon etc. I often buy a melon but make sure I chop it up and put in a box in the fridge so that I can pick at it if I fancy something sweet or to use as part of a pudding, usually a mix of fruit with some quark or yoghurt (I prefer quark, DH prefers yoghurt!)
Today's plan:
B - SW fry up
L - LO quiche; salad - lettuce, cucumber, tomato, beetroot, pickled onions, HM onion chutney, spring onions
D - HM cassoulet; mash
HEA - milk in teas throughout the day
HEB - nothing planned but probably some Ryvita this evening
Syns - weekend wine

Me again, after the success of the first post I'm back to see if it will work again... lol.
I was going to post yesterday to report back on the M&S skinny burgers as we had them on Thursday night with SW chips - they were really nice, I'll definitely buy them again. DH had his in a bun but as I cooked bacon, onion and tomato to go with it and had HM coleslaw on the side I didn't have one, it would have been too much for me.
My food plan for this week went a bit awry - I planned to have fish pie with green beans and new potatoes, and salmon with ratatouille and couscous, but got them mixed up i.e. we had the salmon with potatoes, and ratatouille doesn't go with fish pie! I managed to find some alternative vegetables to go with the fish pie but still have the ingredients for the ratatouille so that will have to go on my plan for early next week.Glad your post worked lois. Commiserations on your STS. Do you know why? One consolation ( like wiz was saying yesterday) is that without following the plan we'd likely be gaining loads.
Not counting syns properly!
I've made the mistake of buying in lots of low syn treats like Hifi bars, meringue nests and snackajacks, which are all very well except that I'm not banking enough syns for weekend wine and then still drinking it anyway...
I pay to go to class every week in the hope that it will make me lose weight, but unless I actually stick to the plan properly, it's not going to work! My consultant must be pretty disappointed with me, I've only lost 1lb in 4 weeks.
Catch you later - internet permitting!

Feeling a little more positive today. Thanks Maman for you kind words. I do need to keep remembering that I've been through it a bit recently, still anaemic, and trying to get my head what I can eat.
Today's plan:
Breakfast - oops only just got up
Lunch - miso noodles, with more speed than normal
Dinner - HM burger, SW chips and coleslaw
HA - milk and cheese
HB - none, but if I have a roll with my burger I'll count it as my HB
syns - miso (0.5), salad dressing (0.5)Zebras rock0 -

Of course, anyone can join the next challenge. You'd be very welcome. Shala will post it up sometime this weekend so just watch this space.
The swiss roll varies with brand and obviously portion size. Syns online says between 6 and 8.5 so that'll give you a rough idea. HTH.
Just finished my salad. Very enjoyable but it's been hit by austerity! No olives or capers any more and minimal tuna.0 -

Missli,I went back to SW group last week for the first time in 18 months.I sat in on the new members talk ,and listened to the lovely leader say all fruit and veg are free.(And avocado is not listed at all in the fruits in the new members food optimising booklet,so you can't know any different.).I had to pipe up and say "that is except for avocado",to which she said "yes, that's right.Avocado is not free",then we got talking about how many syns it did contain, health benefits etc.
I don't know why the leaders,in the new talk, don't make a point of saying "all fruits are free except avocados, which are (?) 9 syns per half.".As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago,my group has been through many leaders (the other day in my head I counted up 6 since 2011,plus replacements for holiday and one long-term sick),and not one of them has ever made the point that avocados are not free.I don't know why.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76
