Thanks, you lot are so knowledgeable:T:T i am obviously not looking in the right place:o

The reason we're so knowledgeable is that we've been doing SW for a long time - nearly 7 years for me! Most of it at target. It's amazing how quickly you'll pick up the necessary information but it's nice to be appreciated for helping others:D

LL - No reason I can see for you not to join in the challenge whilst doing WW do hope it helps you to get back into losing weight. Will you go back to SW after the period of WW online you've signed up for?

    Today's plan:

B - LO quiche (which I should have had for lunch yesterday) so as not to waste it; had planned on a veggie omelette so not much different!
L - beans on toast; melon & strawberries
D - roast pork, roast potatoes, roasted carrots, courgette, onions; carrot & swede mash; followed by Eton Mess using quark & a mini meringue (1 syn)

Me too lois. Over time people try various plans alongside each other like 5:2, myfitnesspal or calorie counting. I think you're the first to try WW. I'm sure just trying something new will be motivating. I think I might have done the same if my weightloss had stalled although I'm committed to SW as a healthy long term eating plan.

DH and I were discussing only yesterday how eating has changed over the years. The 105syns a week is such an easy way to keep treats in check.

:T on upping the Speed saverupper. Would your children eat baby corn as for some reason that's Speed whereas 'ordinary' sweetcorn isn't? How are they on Speed smuggled (grated etc) into Bolognese or chilli?

I did veggie chilli in the SC last night. I use my regular HB recipe but just leave out the meat. Aldi didn't have any beans at all (other than baked beans). Fortunately I had red beans here and added a tin of butter beans for good measure along with carrots, onions, green beans, courgettes, tomatoes and mushrooms. I'm having a portion for my lunch today and the rest will go in the freezer.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, fried egg, mushrooms and tomatoes
L: JP with veggie chilli and cottage cheese
D: roast chicken, SW roasties and parsnips, swede and carrot mash, cauli, broccoli
Syns: HM gravy and weekend wine

The veggie chilli sounds lovely Maman. Will have to look up the HB recipe and see how different it is to the normal chilli I make.

I do like HB recipes generally and usually easy enough to make SW friendly. Looking forward to doing HB steaks later this month!

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm hoping that doing something different will focus my mind, I've done SW on and off since the millennium and I think there's a risk of getting stuck in a rut and an element of complacency.

I can't imagine doing WW long term, I think I'll be back with SW again once I'm nearer or at target. I'll be doing a lot more weighing and measuring for the next few months as there's a lot less free food, I was surprised to find that tomato puree and stock cubes have a points value when I calculated points for HB braised steak that we had yesterday.

    It's this one denise:

I don't bother with the flour and it's quite thick enough. I could always add some cubed potato if necessary. Last night I did use a red wine stock pot as I had some in but generally I use beef as I like a meaty flavour. Then, of course, I add masses of Speed and extra beans to make up for the missing meat!:D

Don't be too disappointed TakeItEazy. Side effects of drugs, inflamation and pain all hinder weight loss, but if you are being good it will show up eventually.

Lois Lane, I have done WW in the past, and I go through phases of swapping back to it for an odd week when I struggle to lose, along with MFP.
I'm a maths geek, and sometimes I do better with a more mathematical, counting everything, sort of plan.
Variation is good for weight loss, and I see no problem with you being in the challenge, but on a different plan. I'm staying on here, although with a tweaked plan for my requirements.

BTW, I was on TV, on ITV4 at about 12:40 :)
