Just caught up on your diary, fingers crossed that you get an acceptable revised offer and have a productive visit to Shropshire:D

When we moved here just over 5 years ago we had eliminated all but this town and one other and viewed 5 properties in 2 days, we had particular requirements for parking and environs, so over the preceding weeks good old G**gle earth had ruled out so many. This property was missing one of my must haves - a large dining kitchen so OH was gobsmacked when I got into the car and said that is the one I want, we had seen one other and had 3 more to see:rotfl:

We had intended to enlarge the kitchen, but after a while decided not to and created storage elsewhere, we both love being here:D

  • Hi Maddie

we have loads of properties booked to view so I'm hoping that one will be the right one for us. We don't know the area at all so I'm a bit worried about finding myself in a dodgy neighbourhood. Once we've had a look around I think I'll ask my forum friends for advice on that one.

Sometimes you have to follow your heart because it knows the way :)

    It's a deal!

Salesman came back with another figure (I think he just wanted to have the last word) but it's close enough and we have accepted. Agent wants him to show evidence of his mortgage and conveyancing position and then he'll take us off the market :D The viewings for tomorrow and Saturday have been cancelled so I don't have to worry about cleaning before our trip or whether I can risk cooking haddock for tea :rotfl:

I am almost finished the second of my ironing piles and then I can concentrate on packing and a badly needed manicure.

Really pleased we got this side of things sorted before our own viewings. Now we can relax and concentrate on finding our new home.

Might break out a bottle of wine later :D

Paperwork checked out and we are off the market :D

Feels very strange - as though the house has already passed into other hands.

All the viewings for the weekend are confirmed now. Very excited about having a trip away. We have opened a bottle of fizz to celebrate - a bit soon to celebrate I know but the fact that we are an attractive proposition to buyers is cause enough. There are things about the locality we were worried would put people off and our previous next door neighbours took 3 years to sell a pretty similar property. So it's good news for us even if we slip back down a snake :) Fizz was courtesy of a friend on my birthday ;)

Supper was Smoked Haddock Gratin with baked potatoes - the house smells now and it doesn't matter because no more viewings :D I got a lovely perfumed candle for my birthday so I've put it to work ;)

A bit of packing in a minute and ... relax.
