  • Just read through all this and think if nowt else it prooves that you'll never please all the people all the time!
It can be hard to post though & the boards can, IMO, feel quite clicky sometimes and while I'm sure it's unintentional think people on here can be very vulnerable to being ignored so possibly just something to be aware of...Anyway, I'm sure it will come out in the wash and would hate for the general support & encouragement to be diminished in any way! Some will come & go (& then like me come back again!) but the important thing is that we all "get" being in debt and support each other out of it! Esp for the "long haulers" like me!! What was the debate about Sat night party? Surely noone wanted to get rid of this?!

I am still failing to understand where the problem lies?

Why would a sub board improve things? Are things no good enough that things need improving?

I think I said before *why fix whats not broken*

We ARE all totally commited to DFW even with the diaries. Mr L himself has said on more than one occasion that things work well as they are, which (puts on sucking up voice) I agree with ~ the sheer number of posters, member and threads PROVES it works!!

You'll not convince people until a sub-board is created and it goes wrong. Of course that implies you can put the pieces back together, which is not a given.

But what if it doesn't go wrong and just makes it easier to navigate the site by having diaries in one section, other stuff in another?

So you have as your succesful outcome "Easier to navigate" and your unsuccessful outcome "Decisively changing the spirit of DFW".

That seems a touch lopsided on the ole "Risk/Reward" balance...

Well no not exactly ZTD, I was trying to be positive, I don't see how it would change the spirit of DFW really, I think it's more the fear of change.

If, for instance, we woke up tomorrow (before this debate had occurred and the numerous others re the same subject) and there was a sub forum created by the forum team, would you not have a look, would you stop posting?

It wouldn't stop me, even if I had to wear an Elvis suit and sing 'All shook up', if thats what was needed......I'm addicted.:D

I sooo hope Martin takes this suggestion on board, I would pay good money to see that - even if I had to pay for it on my credit card! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Of course not. I'd navigate to, and post on the diaries sub-board, and never see the main board where people were asking questions, and hence never see (and obviously never answer) their questions.

That would be a huge loss ZTD, because your experience/support is invaluable, not good _pale_
