If you register with Wild Wadi online www.wildwadi.com they send you newsletters with discount vouchers!!! Worth knowing if you're going, had one but it wasn't valid for my days of stay. Think people staying at Jumeirah Beach get free entry.2p off is still 2p off!0

I would certainly recommend Fujairah.
We stayed at Le Meridien Al Aqah last November and thought it was great. Beautiful beach and stunning mountain backdrop. It's also quite a lot cheaper than Dubai. It has a childrens club with nannies to look after them (all free). Look at le meriedien website for deals.
The downside is that there is little to do except relax. Shame!
A good bet would be to spend a few days there and a couple of days in Dubai. The UAE weekend is actually Thursday and Friday and we found that a lot of the city hotels are cheaper over the UAE weekend whilst the beach hotels are more expensive.
On the subject of flights, you will often find Abu Dhabi at least £50 cheaper than Dubai and usually you can fly direct from London.
Everyone has different views about the best times to fly but we prefer taking a night flight to the UAE, getting you in at around 9 am and giving you most of that day by the pool.
Coming back there are usually flights leaving DXB or AUH at lunchtime or early afternoon getting you back to UK at around tea time. These avoid either a very early start or having to hang around the hotel (usually having checked out of your room) until the night flight leaves at around 2 am.
Whenever you go you will find that the staff in the hotels are incredibly friendly (especially with children) and generally very helpful. The standard of service puts Europe, The Carribien and North America to shame.0 -
must admit the heat is giving me second thoughts now.
trust our anniversary to fall in july where most places are dearer ,then you see dubai cheapish but thats because its TOO HOT.
might just take in the hotel during the day ,try the pool for an hour or so.

maybe book the holiday for late august begining of september ( I go every year at this time with my children) the humidity is a little better and the price is still good. Just give your wife the confirmation booking on your anniversary in july which will be a surprise and then she still has something to look forward to0
