Hi guys
I have been reading all your comments on the prices you have paid and due to pay for your stay in dubai. I hav just recently booked to go to dubai in july for 2 adults and two children. booked with emirates, staying at the JBH. I have paid 3170.00 for 11nights and 10 days. I think i may have paid too much. please put my mind at rest. the reason i have booked the JBH is because they have great childrens facilities and i thought with all the shops closing in the afternoon the boys could happily entertain themslves at the hotel without us getting hot bothered and stressed.
wot do you think

hi all,
i'm stopping over in dubai for one night only on 21 october.
i will be arriving in dubai at 1130 on a saturday and my flight leaves at 0720 the following (sunday) morning.
it is likely i will be *very* tired so looking for somewhere comfortable to relax and get a semi-decent sleep, although i am sure i will want to have a look at a couple of local sights.
can someone recommend a hotel within a budget of approximately £50? the hotels in this thread seem to be out of my budget a little - don't want to splurge £100+ on a hotel when there is no need. and i will be on my own so i don't need to impress anyone
did a bit of digging today and found the "Holiday Inn Downtown" for approximately £40/night (excl taxes). also found ramee hotel apartments for similar price.
anyone else find anything similar?
cheers

Just book one at the airport, it will save you lots, and is ideal for a 1 night stay.I would recommend Le Meridien Baniyas Sq apartments. Approx Dhs 180.skintscotsman wrote:hi all,

Hi!
I am planning to go to Dubai mid november and am finding many of cheaper good hotels booked. ( Like Ibis) Want to be central to shop and look for work.I am a woman on my own. Any ideas where I can call to drive down a good package for 7 days please? I have thought of getting hotel when arrive in airport but isn't this really risky if good hotels are already booked up ( as stated on net/travel agent?)
Thanks for any advice

This looks really nice, website says between the Marina and Old Dubai, would that be around the Grosvenor House location as im worried about the construction going on. Last time we went we stayed Sheikh Zayed rd which was central to everything.prenton01 wrote:i live in dubai and my wife and myself stay at this hotel, when she comes over to stay its a private run b&b and very good prices
