Quidco are now offering £150 cahsback if you take the Tocco on a pay monthly contract until 6 October so you gotta be quick!

I've just called Vodafone as I'm out of contract. I'm currently on 500 mins 250 texts at £35pm. Asked for PAC code as I said that I was thinking of leaving as they never give me a decent upgrade deal (did go through the 'Thinking of leaving' as apposed to 'Upgrade' option) - and they still didn't. They said i could have the Omnia free if I stay on my present contract.
I said 'Like I said, I want my PAC code as I don't get any good deals'

I asked for Omnia, 600 mins u/l texts 12 months contract £17.50 a month. Now I know i wasn't going to get that but he didn't try and haggle to offer me anything else so waiting for PAC code and hoping I get a call soon from the infamous 'outbound retentions' to see if they can offer me anything better.

It really seems to be my lot - I really do never get any good deals that I read about everyone else getting

    I saw this deal yesterday:

A600 Minutes Unlimited Texts £25 per month
    6 months at @ £12.50
    12 month contract
    N96 free.

    Nearly fell off my chair.
  • fsrandom, Where did you see this deal you speak of? Is it a real deal

It's a real deal and I saw someone who's got it (and varified it)

It's unlikely you'll ever get a sales agent to duplicate that however.

A PAC code enables you to transfer your exisitng number to a new provider

Well today I got the 'call' from their outbound retentions - I did smile when I saw the number come up :D

My old contract was £35 a month with 500 mins 250 texts

    I got

    Samsung Omnia free
    500 minutes
    500 texts
    Unlimited Internet access
    VP & STC
    18 months
    £25

I never use all my mins or texts each month anyway so effectively I've only gained from the deal - got £10 a month off, free omnia, free internet access and more texts.

No doubt someone else will get a better deal (like the N96 one above!!!!!) but I think I got quite a good deal. :j

    That is a great deal.
My contract is up in January but I can get an upgrade in November so I am not sure I will be able to threaten to leave so may not get as good a deal. I really wanted the Omnia but now I think I might get the Tocco or I may go into the shop and ask to see both before due for the upgrade.
I get 600 minutes, unlimited Text and unlimited internet access for £25 so I was hoping for the same as I think I am on to plums to get it even cheaper!!

    What is VP and STC?

As you are probably aware I am new to all this and don't have a clue what all these codes stand for!!

VP = Vodafone Passport and STC = Stop the Clock - hang up before an hour and you only use 3 mins.

You've already got a good deal at £25 a month - better than mine. If you're happy with the tariff - which seems to be the norm at the mo - you could probably just phone in November and ask for the Omnia as an upgrade. If they say no, wait a couple of weeks and try again.

I suppose it depends if you want the phone because of the phone or you want the phone because its coming up to upgrade time.

I was in upgrade time in July but other than the Omnia, there wasn't anything I wanted (had an N95) so waited it out until out of contract to get past the initial launch frenzy. Some may argue that I could have haggled more as out of contract but I'm happy.

Aw I have the VP and STC aswell.
I just want a new phone because it is time for an upgrade! I currently have the G600 but quite fancy something a little smarter and different. I use my phone for texting a lot, music, camera and internet as well as obviously phoning and I quite like the look of the touch screen phones that is why I was thinking of the Tocco or Omnia.

my mate renewed her contract, she got 900 mins, STC and unlimited texting with the nokia 6500 classic for £12.50 a month. shes been with them for 4 years paying £35 a month for 600 mins (with STC) and 500 texts. i think she got a better phone out of them but she likes the nokia 6500 classic.
