Right, I have officially moved onto today. Have a manically busy day, but still some DFW things to squeeze in.

    - make welshcakes or biscuits for DH and the children to take on day out.
    - feed sourdough
    - go through bathroom supplies box and make a list of what we have, to avoid duplicate purchases.
    - get another laundry on the line.
    - go for a walk - I have been steadily expanding out of my clothes since christmas! Definitely not money saving if I have to buy new clothes.
    - have a quick tidy up. Proper tidying can get underway when the children are back at school tomorrow, but the state of the house is making me stressed, which never helps anything.
    - social media while working.
Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.

    Morning everyone

I've had less than 6 hours sleep but alas I still wake up early...

Don't have much housework to do as we cleaned up yesterday - just need to clean the kitchen and get through the laundry - just sheets and towels really...

I'm crocheting a baby blanket for my pal - free pattern https://goo.gl/QeD1BF

Need to take pooch out somewhere too

I got a whole chicken yesterday so will bung that in the slow cooker for today, tomorrow and lunches :A

    Need to sort YNAB/banking

I guess later will be more of the usual... I  boring days! :D

    Morning Frugalistas,
    Just a few things today:
*Take picnic with us on our trip out. That's got to save about £15, I should think.
*Take £5 voucher with us as hope to be able to use it to buy a jar of local honey.
*'Free' roast dinner tonight using the leftover pork slices in gravy I froze a couple of weeks ago.
*mr f is going to phone Autoglass to sort out our mysterious broken car windscreen as that's tge cheapest way to do it.
    *Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
    *Read energy meters.
*Put washing machine on timer to get a load done overnight on cheap tariff.
*Finish knitting current pair of baby socks & cast on another. Leftover sock yarn so no cost & I usually sell quite a few pairs over the year.
*Synchronise diaries with mr f for the week ahead & write my Monday job list.
*Free fitness as will get a decent walk where we're going today.
*Re-list ebay items later.....one item sold. This batch had been listed heaps of times but is very gradually shifting. It all adds up.
Have a good day all......& keep your mitts on your pence!

    Morning all!

I wasn't quite as wholesome as I aimed to be. I treated myself to a bottle of beer and a bottle of cider and watched Michael Palin documentaries all evening while crocheting. It was very nice and relaxing though! I did make the flapjacks though, and tidy round etc so I was useful at least! Also managed to keep the heating off.

In work today but will probably work through my lunch and naff off early. The mission (items still rolling over):
    • B/L/D from stores
    • Sew at least the bottom ribbing onto my cardi. I crocheted all the bits by about September last year then it got complicated joining it up and I flaked out :o
    • Start planning what seeds can be sown
    • Charge phone in work
    • Crochet commission
    • Free stretching video
    • No alcohol
    • Buy milk and check for ys bargains in tesco
    • OH vaguely committed to hoovering today
    • Sort washing out and put away
    • Pinch jiffy bag from work for ebay parcel
    • Check meal plan to see if anything needs to be made ahead tonight (bread/boiled eggs etc)
    • Reconcile budget sheet with OH
    Have a good one all

How frustrating! We had ours broken a few years ago when some scallies put a firework under the windscreen wiper. We got it sorted through the insurance (with the excess) and the chap who came to do it was lovely.

  • Morning guys :) my head is aching after a massive session to reconcile accounts. Need to do some more :( as my spending diary says I've spent £80 than my cc bill says.....

    Things for today:

    * am hoping to go to the lottie for an hour. I can hear oh is up so I'll speak to him shortly about being given time off :D
    * plant some seeds :D
    * going to Dover Castle using outlaws membership cards. Will take packed lunch with us ;)
    * ys roast chicken for tea
    * do some masters work
    * vacuum & polish upstairs, clean bathroom, put washing away
    * paint sealant over patch in kitchen

That's all. Happy Sunday guys x

    Morning all :)
Up quite early but still sat here in my dressing gown :o
    Today's list:
No spends intended :)Might have to cave in and buy milk - not sure it will last till the milkman arrives tomorrow. Also ordered DS's birthday present from Amazon (he asked for a new wallet, so nothing too extravagant)
Ebay parcel to wrap ready to post tomorrow. It would be nice if a couple more items sold today.... Done, and yes, a couple more sales today :)
Got up, DS was also up, so I put the sofa bed back to a sofa (if that makes sense) while he took his dog out
Sort out yesterday's second lot of washing which is still partly dry, lurking in the washing basket :oDone, in airing cupboard
Roast chicken lunch, before DS takes GD1 back to her Mum's ready for school tomorrow. Done, enough left for a meal tomorrow. Used a free sample of gravy mix I got from somewhere a while ago. Bisto best chicken gravy, apparently... it was nice enough, but I don't think I would go out of my way to buy it
Make a big tray of roasted veg to go with it, use up various bendy carrots etc (love roasted veg!) Done
DS is going to pick up GS2, who is on half term from college during the coming week. DH and I will have a few hours to ourselves this afternoon, so will try to get out for a walk or something to make the most of it! Just went on a local walk as we ended up with both dogs
Old friend now living in France, popped in for a chat when we got back. He is over visiting family mainly. Nice to see him :)
DS is away Mon-Fri next week with work, GS1 will be staying with his brother for a couple of nights, then with us for the rest of the time. And needless to say, we will have the dog as well
£1.73 tracked on quidco from flowers bought online for a friend's birthday :)

That is all I can think of atm, will come back later to update!
  • I just bought train tickets with 1% cashback (that 68p will make such a difference :rotfl:). I also managed to get free first class delivery (saving £1) - think because the station I'm going from doesn't have a ticket machine. :T
  • Morning all :coffee:
I had a bit of a lie in this morning, which is a bit of a miracle as I'm stressed about my London trip tomorrow. I think I'm physically exhausted because I'm aching all over after yesterday's training session.
The sun is shining and that makes a huge difference to my mood. I've even got the door into the garden open so the cats can come and go as they please and I might dry a load of washing on the line as well. It almost feels like spring.
    Today's plans:
check banking and PAD (if I can find 20p to go into my pot)
pack my day bag for London trip tomorrow.
practise bigging myself up (very uncomfortable indeed)
finish the Mount Everest of washing that seems to have sprung up overnight
    hoover (urgent)
    make chicken fajitas for dinner
    tidy the kitchen
take the kids to my mam's later (she's babysitting while I'm in London tomorrow)
crochet lots to keep me calm
go out for a walk if the weather holds
Have a good day everyone
  • cat what are you doing in London? I saw you mention it on your thread but didn't know to what it related? Just being nosy!
