What small DFW things will you do this week? w/c 13/02

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

Morning! Thanks for starting the thread ziggy x
Was supposed to be working today but madam has woken up with a bad cough so having to keep her off of the cm's today. If I'm honest I'm glad not to be working! Will have to do a few bits from home, but other than that snuggles, blankets and fluids are the order of the day
Not sure what small things will be done, need to:
* load of washing & hang up
* Mega tidy/clean session as the house has fallen into disrepair
* update spending diary
* check banking & make a couple of transfers/payments
* all meals from stores - check meal plan for what's what today
* hurrah will finally list the fleabay items!
* going out with some girlfriend's tonight for one of their birthday's
* do 10 minute meditation
That'll do! Happy days guys xDF as at 30/12/16

Morning
Thanks for the start Ziggy hope DGD feels better soon Determined by the way is your car all ok now, after the little bump?
Angelpye now I have Paula Abdul in my head too
Well hello all. Another week on the front line of money saving. I shall be donning my flack jacket and helmet Private Benjamin style & watching out for financial grenades and tripwires
Things so far
1. I am on double school run duty today due to OHs schedule. Had done the run and back at home by 9.30. 4 buses taken, 2 out, 2 back, for a total of £3 thanks to the hopper fare. As I will only take two back on the leg I have DS with me that is only another £1.50 today, mind you that's the fare cap anyway.
2. Coffee at home. Must avoid Coffee shop tripwires this week! So tempting though.
3. I have almost £10 in Nectar and £3.50 in Mr T vouchers so will be aiming to deploy those this week to keep the pennies in my pocket.
4. All banking checked. We are officially switching over tomorrow to FD. Having been with ours for 14 years it's quite a shock to the system. But hopefully all will be smooth running. Looking forward to the incentive hitting our account.
5. Made a lovely home made tomato soup for lunch yesterday, so DD and I will have more today.
6. I am the opposite to so many on here and actually need to build a freezer/storecupboard stash up as so many months we get to this week of the month and are running on fumes. My freezer literally contains stock, bags of ice cubes (I always get them left behind at the venue) & a few half open bags of veg.
7. House is nice and clean and tidy so not much to do on that front today except a load tonight. I always use the basics washing powder for £1 and it always does way more than the 10 loads advertised.
8. Might do a PAD. Can't decide. Should still be on for my DFD end of March anyway now. Half term next week so is it better to keep cash for that??
9. Relist eBay items.
10. Might make a cake as have time. Or scones.
Have a good day all.

Hi everyone
Thanks for the kick off Ziggy :A
Here’s how my day is panning out:
Cheapo porridge brekkie – free milk in work:A
Wash brekkie pot in work – no excuses later
Charity bake sale in work – £1 donation to children’s hospice = guilt-free eating
Keeping up with flylady this week (or trying to) – pals coming round for dinner on Saturday so extra motivation
1 x washing load and put on airer :A
Sort out even a tiny bit of recycling :A
Work is doing a clear out for charity – get company matching donation on each charity bag filled – that’ll be ace for me as still KMing komono :T
Catch up tonight xx0 -
Hi folks - thanks for the start Ziggy
HK - sorry to hear about puss - be kind to yourself - it's hard
Bob - So close.... bring on March
Well today's list is another wee one (you all make me feel so weak & useless - but this will pass)
- NSD (no intentions of leaving house so should be easy)
- Put all recycling & bins out for tomorrow
- Organize car parts to be returned tomorrow
- Bring bags of clothes & stuff from garage to house for charity shop run tomorrow
- Scan in DH's appraisal docs so he can update them on laptop rather than handwrite
- Stock up logs in the house - brassic.com outside
- Bit of work on an on-line Excel course I've found (trying to gauge how quickly I can go back to work)
- Much cuddling of dogs seems to be required today (their requests, not mine - but 'll oblige
)
- And any other bits & pieces I come across
Have a good day y'all

Hi All
Nearly finished first wave of lambing. Only 15 left in my maternity pen. Those born are coping with the cold and playing schools and chasing each other around their fields. Fingers crossed the weather does not get any worse.
Am keeping to the money diet, almost but am really struggling with the real eating diet. Every day there is just that little extra .... Oh dear.
Need to menu plan
Need to quilt plan. I sorted my stash and discovered some material I bought by weight turns out to be a stunning bargain around £2 a yard. Spent the weekend finishing a massive star quilt for DD wedding, around 2 years off and planning baby quilts. I have a new nephew due shortly. No need to buy anything for the quilt, just need to plan plan plan.
Get well soon Ziggy.
Bob I can taste your success.0
