Afternoon all. Hugs where needed esp Valli and LW.

Today I have been cleaning what I can in the unfinished kitchen and discovering damage to my appliances, have taken LittleyDog and Poppet on two lovely long walks in the spring sunshine, and washed and changed the bedding.

I now have to sort out some paperwork. I've had the info for 6 weeks and am only now doing anything with it just two days before the deadline.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

  • Need to ring Scottish power again tomorrow, we put a wrong meter reading in last year and it caused a spike in our usage. (About 3 years worth in a couple of months according to person we spoke to last week after another meter reading putting us £900 in debit!) anyway after talking to friends and mulling overnight we realised this usage was impossible so Dh rung them again and person took all meter readings and decided we'd given the total use reading instead of day rate reading so spike disappeared as did the debit, apparently first person was new and didn't spot it. But we now have 3 bills on our online account all with different amounts on but all dated the same day two supposedly read and one estimate. Ranging from £50 to £500 in credit. But all saying we could save money on a different tariff to the one we were told to go with.
I'm sure it can be put right but it's just annoying that it happened because if we hadn't rung and requeryed we would be stuck with excessive DD and large bill, need to ring again and ask which bill and DD amount is the right one and what tariff we should be on if another can save us £200 as they are suggesting. I think we may have been offered this one because of our use spike but once they found that was incorrect surely the tariff should have been amended.

Presumably from a Very Large Bird? I have a crazy mental picture of a Roc circling overhead at Dance Towers! :D

Mr LW is playing "Conflict: Desert Storm" on PS2 - some well-earned R&R for him.:A
I'm going to try and do a little cross stitch while I wait for the cake to cook.

Well, that didn't work out as planned. I made the soup, did the cleaning, ate lunch, wrote about 2 more sentences of my essay, and then slept for the rest of the afternoon :( Now we're going out.

Tomorrow is going to be a l-o-o-o-o-o-n-g day!
