Basic template but looks OK - http://beatthebailiffsandthebanks.co.uk/sec10/4592163521
Direct and to the point, you guys think this OK?
As for suing them for compensation for data misuse, or counter-claim, what's the best way to do this?
I don't suppose either of you able to take a call....0 -

Wow.......its just a scary thing to do the whole process with a fear of what happens should I loose........GULP.
The question is do I just go for justice to void the ticket or actually claim damage(s) ? which does scare me
Who fundamentally decides on what is reasonable cost(s) to claim? 1 year of letter writing, section 10 (obtaining data) my time, costs incurred etc. ?0 -
Look, just submit the two complaints, to build the evidence you can use. Stop trying to run before you can walk.
Then you have 6 years to decide about whether to actually do anything to get compensation. There are lots of people starting this new method of fightback, but as DPA breach claims are a new tactic, if you were my relative I'd say get your ducks in a row first (complaints upheld by the ICO and DVLA) and read the forum regularly for six months this year, to appraise how well the DPA claims are going and what works/what doesn't work.
No rush. Take steps 1 and 2 that I suggested in post #36. Far from scary at this stage. This is mere evidence building. NOT claim stage.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you Coupon-mad - sorry, I don't wish to rial anyone on here and am more than grateful for the help support, priceless.
I have no knowledge of any of this sorry. Letters already to go tomorrow.
Are many of the successful cases about DPA and other technical loop holes.....regardless of it people DID or DID NOT park there
Again thank you both and sorry if I've annoyed you.0 -
I am new to this aspect as well, we all are, which is why you and I both have to study this over the next 6 months , its a new and ongoing thing that will take months or years to hone into a fine art of fighting back
so evidence now , then in 6 or 12 months (or longer) decide if you can fight back or not , seeing as its 6 years to bring a court claim (the same length of time the PPC`s have to take a pop at us)
so slowly , slowly , catchee monkey
research now , get evidence , decide later , when everyone has more idea and when a few cases have been won and transcripts provided
this is a sloowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww process0 -

Not at all - I want you to calm down and stop thinking we are saying to wallop a claim in right now, unprepared. That could leave you open to them defending it well if your claim is worded badly without much evidence, dates & facts. I would never suggest rushing into that.
But you are not meant to be posting any letters. No-one said to post letters.
DPA complaints about misuse of data are done online (you can attach your evidence/emails) and the DVLA is best emailed.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
