:hello: Good afternoon everyone
It's a beautiful day here, the sun is shining away but there's
still a definite nip in the air!
Just been out to get a few provisions - the sun really seems
to perk everyone up - yesterday we had rain all day long
and the garden got absolutely waterlogged!
fire**fly - may have to [STRIKE]steal[/STRIKE] borrow your gorgeous little
fairy image - love it!
I can remember you saying last year leanfun that you
had filled the freezer for Christmas and the family
unfortunately couldn't make it to yours. It's such a
shame when children become poorly and I agree with
you - life is definitely unpredictable especially where
little ones are concerned. Hope all is well this year and
they make it to yours for the festivities. xx
Baby rainbow is such a contented little girl - very greedy
though! She guzzles all her milk and only wakes once
during the night for more and then sleeps until about
7.00'ish am.Gorgeous little soul. :grinheart
Good luck with catching your little mouse - I have similar
humane mouse catching boxes. I love mice so long as
they stay outside! Found droppings in my garage but
they are most welcome to shelter in there - but just don't
venture any further near my back door.I have lovely
little field mice in my garden - so tiny - I've seen them
eating the bird seed off the ground and also scurrying up
the tree to nibble the nuts!
Here's an interesting link about different types of mice
but I've never heard of the yellow-necked mouse
mentioned.

And today it's ...... 'Rupert Bear Day':T
November 8, 1920: Rupert Bear makes his debut in the pages of
the Daily Express.
Rupert was originally a brown bear. He later changed to white to
save on printing costs.
Rupert was considered to be so important to the nation’s wartime
morale that Prime Minister Winston Churchill allowed the Express
more paper during the war so that it could carry on printing the
strip.
Actually - when I was posting about him in the Betty thread I
also found this:
http://rupertbear.co.uk/index.html
^^ It's definitely my type of thing - may have to join!
Must fly - have a lovely and lucky day all and please take
care whatever you have planned!

Have had quite a busy day sorting out washing, ironing and going for a walk. It was really frosty first thing though.
Went looking for a nice mouse pic but couldn't resist the snake. Don't know why as I am terrified of them! Must have been the eyes.
Just going to have a read of your info Alfie. Glad your GD is good and content - my DD was like that.

Hi all thanks for all the pics really cheery. Even your snake one Sheils
I really don't like the mouse indoors. I'm not afraid but the couple of times I've seen it it makes me jump and feel creepy.
Alfie thanks for the links. So pleased to hear about your granddaughter.
Here post man brought a surprise parcel of a Pokemon game and three packets of cards. GKs in Scotland are going to be so pleased with these.
Very dull here but I've made some progress with sorting things upstairs and washing/ironing is nearly up to date.

Christmas Tree Festivals
What is a Christmas Tree Festival?
These Festivals are community events that bring people and local
organisations together by each decorating a Christmas tree. The
trees are then displayed collectively, for a limited time, to the
public, often raising money for charity. :A
As well as the display of decorated trees, there may well be some
additional entertainment such as live music, Christmas stalls and
refreshments – quite possibly mulled-wine and mince pies!
Many of these events are organised by and take place in local
churches and have between 12 – 40 trees, but a few of the larger
more established Festivals can have several hundred.
Irregardless of numbers, every Festival is unique and has its own
charm so is well worth a visit, especially when the trees are lit and
it’s dark outside – it’s a sight you won’t forget.
