Mansey sounds like a good idea but not sure how it would work with Forum rules. lets see.
Lo mummy2threeboys. Can you contact the price provider re damaged tea set. Surely they could do something even though its TandTs fault.
Re your holiday sorry to hear how it went. We had three children here for a weekend and it is tiring and never ending. Perhaps your friend thought it was her break and thats why she didn't help. Just shows we really need to say upfront about help that is needed. I would be in the same situation as you. Hope life is a bit quieter now its school time and you can have a rest.
its a lot milder here this evening I popped out for some milk. In the end I went to our local petrol station and looking for long life milk I saw empty jars of coffee on selves. I actually picked one up as I thought. I wasn't seeing properly. Then saw a notice that you have to ask for coffee at counter due to the high rise in thefts of it! I know the price of coffee has rocketed but....
local firework display just started on a field near us quite noisy.
hope everyone has a good evening.0 -
Leanfun ..coffee! Thats a new one on me.where do they pour it into? they do that here for hair dye and pregnancy tests ..the two go hand in hand it seems . I do recall with great amusement having to buy condoms , sanitary items and pregnancy tests all at the same time that was amusing asking for half of it from behind the counter.
Yes maybe friend thought I should look after her and her son too, i think it was the moaning that I hadn't cooked anything she liked (despite me saying it would be easier if i cook for mine and hers for herself and little one as some of us are veggis) and the 2.5 hours she decided i would look after her kid as well as mine at the pool, I thought she might have wiped up what I had washed up , just got to me really ad the non stop arguing/fighting.then she said I was Grumpy...Then asked me to donate 20 hours of my "free" time to her shop every month for nothing ..umm yes I am looking after 3 kids full time too!
Lol I shall stick to holidays on my own from now on..you learn the hard way
Phew I feel better for that rant
Sorry all! I would love to go back though Recommend Trecco bay parkdean for a cheap holiday, great swim pool and everyone was really friendly!Compers challenge 27/70

Mansey sorry I have just read your post properly and see you clearly refer to Facebook page! Think I had better have an early night.0

O'h dear mummy2threeboys what a shame your holiday didn't go well.
We have been to Trecco Bay a few times and loved it. Have never gone with another family though.
DD and her BF went abroad with another couple last year and they drove them mad as they hardly had a minute to themselves, everytime they went to do anything the other couple wanted to go too.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Lovely sunny morning here! Looks like it is going to be nice for our firework trip tomorrow too (although cold!) Fireworks are going to be beside a loch so hopefully be really nice. Haven't seen a display for quite a while as they are usually on on Saturday nights and hotels are expensive then. No displays near us. Haven't heard any being set off yet either although should hear some tonight.
Well done on the beer win indie. I won a tankard last month but nothing to put in it!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

:hello: Good morning everyone
It's a drizzly start to the day here at the mo and still very
mild- due to brighten up later but apparently turning
a tad chillier!
its a lot milder here this evening I popped out for some milk. In the end I went to our local petrol station and looking for long life milk I saw empty jars of coffee on selves.:eek: leanfun what a shock re the notice! - I love my coffee
and I wouldn't change the brand I use for all the tea in china
plus I've tried the cheaper brands & me no likey! But I have
noticed the price rising over the last couple of months. It's a sad
sign of our times though when/why this sort of thing happens!mummy2threeboys wrote: »Hi all sorry so many posts can't keep up , hope you are all well and lots of lovely wins!
Came back to a win that was a beautiful teaset but half broken not the companys fault but now I know why TandT has it's name ..plus the t-set was used as a prop for an electrical company not something they stock. Hey ho 3 cups and saucers and a lidless t-pot lol
Also won a crockpot today, mine broke a little while ago and I missed it like mad! Hubby comes in funny times and we are always out to some club so it's super handy for us.
So sorry to hear about your damaged teaset  but big
congrats on winning the Crockpot mummy2threeboys! :T:j
It's an awful shame about how your holiday away with
your 'friend' and her son panned out. I think she was being
extremely unreasonable and just plain selfish acting the way
she did!
Just can't believe how some people can undo any kindness
that was actually offered to them on a plate! (if you see what
I mean). Even expecting you to donate 20 hours of your
"free" time to do her shop every month for nothing - cheeky
mare! You never can tell what makes certain people
tick.
Believe me .... no one needs a friend like that - still lesson
learned.You are such a lovely kind-hearted soul :A
& deserve better.
So pleased that you loved Trecco Bay though (even after all
of that)and would still thoroughly recommend it. :T
Lol fire**fly re jigsaws - don't think I'd get a look in with
the puddy cat now - she's a little devil when it comes to the
puzzles and always makes a beeline for the box! :rotfl::rotfl:
Once again I could hear fireworks yesterday evening and
some were really loud! I agree with you ff - it's
going to be a long bonfire night weekend for all and will
no doubt go on for some time to come!
On that note it's time for a cuppa me thinks - have a lovely
and lucky Saturday all - enjoy!

Morning!
Sheils beside a loch sounds amazing, I bet the reflections work superbly, never seen one over a lake/waterbody. Hubby has been saving his tips at work and we have technically a free £30 for fireworks not much but we are going to my mums for soup, hotdogs etc and so that will be lovely.
Cold and rainy but hubbys still gone on Park run. I had to get out of bed from reading my book to give him change for parking..the cheek of him ha ha . I can tell it's going to get cold my bones are starting to ache ..eek.
Plan on taking the boys out on nature walk study even if it is raining it will do them good to get some fresh air and run off the energy.
Tad worried about 6 year old seems to have developed within the past year a fear of germs and the darkHope it's a blip.
Anywho have a fab weekend all xxCompers challenge 27/70

Indie forgot to say well done on your beer win. Cheers for Christmas.
Lo Sheils winning a tankard and no drink. Hope you enjoy fireworks expect they will be spectacular over a Loch. Looks weather is going to clear for Sunday.
Organised Fireworks here didn't last too long but private ones seemed to go on. Yes, a long weekend.
Well I just found out that I've won some cheese on Twitter and spent ages working out how to DM. Even took me a while to realise DM meant Direct message. Will get the hang of it one day.
mother2threeboys enjoy your walk out with the boys and your evening with your mother.
Here we are going out for lunch with DD1, GS and some of her friends.
Nearly forgot DH had an email from standing room only and we have tickets to watch a recoding of a John Bishop interview on Thursday lunch time. DH has a priority booking so we will definitely get in. Will only find out on the day who he is interviewing. As it's only at Covent Garden just a short walk from Charing Cross no problems getting there.
So it's been a lucky week for us. Hope everyone has a good weekend despite today's rain. Good luck everyone.0 -
