Or just have the willpower not to touch it. Never have, never would.
Putting it in the boot would be a problem if you needed to escape the car quickly - accident, fire, road-rage - and then you wouldn't have your phone with you to call for help.0 -

No, he said "Motorway police have been cut by two thirds along with the frontline police".
9% is the reduction in total police officers (England & Wales) from published Home Office figures. A significant drop, but some way short of two-thirds.0 -

I'd love to know where they get those figures from as one force has lost 35%.0 -

Which force? Even if 35% was true, which I doubt, it's still nowhere near two-thirds.0 -

Those figures are for police STAFF, not police officers.
The highest figure in the report for actual coppers is 18%, with a national average of 10.7%0 -

Which is contrary to your 9% so which figures are true.
In real terms if you add up the pre budget cut establishment for the whole of England and Wales. Working across the south coast from Cornwall to Kent all those officers have gone.0 -

Both figures are probably true. The Home Office one was over 10 years, the other from 2013 to 2015.0 -
It's not an offence to use your phone in a car - it's an offence to make a phone call.(not 'hands free')
