GREAT 0% BARCLAYCARD HUNT!

In september 03, i signed up for a 0% lifetime on blance transfer with a 1p minimum spend with barclaycard at Newcastle airport. Not sure whether stand is still there but you could try.

We got stung with the last Barclaycard 0% balance transfer. No one explained the minimum monthly spend was £50 and that any payments made would be deducted from the Balance transfer and not the new monthly spend. We argued and finally got £150 credited to our Barclaycard. Once this credit was recieved, we switched the balance to another card offering 0% with no minimum spend !

Thanks MSE I have a Barclaycard with 0% interest for the life of the balance assuming the account was used on a monthly basis. I set up a charitable donation via you web site for the minimum amount (through PayPal) exactly as MSE suggested. Everything was going ok from August 2003 until December 2003 when Barclaycard cancelled the December 1st payment. No payments have been made since that date and I have been paying interest since December. I have to own up to not checking my monthly statements, as the minimum payment is paid by direct debit and the PayPal payment was being paid by Barclaycard. Have you heard of this problem before or is it an isolated incident? I have been in touch with Barclaycard but as yet have had little success as their records only go back six months!!



I would be grateful of any help or advice.

I think you'll find you missed out on this offer, it having been sperceded by several others from Barclaycard.  there is a new one which Martin mentions in the newsletter & on the site here

But yes it was the best ever 0% offer

I have been looking at this barclaycard offer and could anyone tell me if it is still being offered? I have barclay card visa at the moment with a £600 overdraft (i'm an exsisting customer), I am overdrawn about £300 at the moment and am obviously paying the usual interest rate to them on this debt. I have another account where I can go £500 overdrawn with first direct, which I just signed up for so i could get the free £25! So if I transfer £300 from first direct to balance my barclay card then transfer the debt back to first direct would I be getting a cheaper rate of interest on my debt? Anyone advice would be great!

trafford center today but i already have a premiership card so they wouldnt let me reapply
but they did tell me that barclaycard are offering 2.9% on balance transfers for the life of the balance offer open until 31st dec 04(see https://www.barclaycard.co.uk for details) and i didnt know that i could buy my season ticket on 0% on my barclay premiership card whoooooppe
