Please please please please please, does anyone have a spare 0% £1 spend form, my husband told me he had signed me up, but when the form came it was the £50 spend.  I really could do with a form if anyone has one floating around somewhere.  I am willing to pay postage.

    Thanks in advance.  Debs

I have a form for Barclaycard, lifetime 0% but with a £25 monthly spend clause. Will this be a winner? Was it an attempt at an interim solution to Bcards problem?

On the subject of the Barclaycard minimum interest charge of 50p a month.......I was lucky enough to get hold of one of the 'spend a £1' deals and each month I spend as close to a pound as I can. After 3 months my 'spending debt' is something like £5 and even though my statement clearly says the monthly interest rate on spending is 1.167% I get charged 50p interest a month. I know I might seem like I'm splitting hairs but a quick calculation told me I shouldn't be paying 50p till my spending tops £43. I would have thought that seeing an interest rate of 1.167% is specifically quoted on my statement then the amount of interest I get charged should reflect this rate. Martin I wonder if you can confirm if Barclaycard are within their rights to include this 'minimum interest charge' clause?

I don't suppose the interest charged counts towards the monthly spend........? If so, I needn't be spending £1 each month but 96p (and falling).

    Just a (nice) thought ;D

Don't you mean spend 50p a month to add to the 50p interest?

    But the t & c states:
" ... we will charge no interest on the balance transfer in the monthly statement following a monthly statement which showed you made a purchase, used your card for a cash advance or used a Barclaycard cheque for a transaction costing at least £1 (for Premiership Barclaycard) or one penny (for Barclaycard Visa)."

so this doesn't include interest payments.

As to Andrew Mallon's question as to whether BC are in their rights to include the clause 3.5 (the monthly nterest charged will be a minimum of 50p). I guess they are unless it is really unreasonable.
If the t & c are unreasonable then no one would use the card.

As Martin stated (ages ago now) that £6 interest a year (12 times minimumof 50p) on an interest free loan of £5000 isn't all that bad!

Never really read all those credit card t & c before, but you have to with this one.
