Staff at your Tesco must be better than at ours.
It's not uncommon to find the stock with the latest date at the front because they can't be bothered to remove the older stock to put the newest at the back.0 -

Well then sooner or later you should be able to find something out of date and phone up a local paper and do that classic arms folded photograph that everyone does in complaint!0 -
Why would I bother to do that? :huh:Well then sooner or later you should be able to find something out of date and phone up a local paper and do that classic arms folded photograph that everyone does in complaint!
I go in, check the dates on whatever item I want to buy and get out of the shop in the quickest possible time.0 -

Well in that case just take the front item then that's quickest. But then that means you don't really know if infact thats the freshest item.0 -

If I'm paying full price I want the one that has the longest 'use by' date.
It takes seconds to reach to the back and compare the dates.
That's what I've always done and that's what I'll continue doing.
If I could trust Tesco to rotate stock properly I would take the item at the front.
But I can't so I don't.0 -

She already said in the OP that she expected an apology at least and none was offered.
Oh dear, it's clearly one of 'those' threads. Again.

The OP hasn't signed in for about 3 weeks so maybe the out of date food had a delayed reaction.0

My local Tesco maybe has different a software to others but if you scan something that's out of date the toll won't let it go through.0

The mods have been busy, doing a lot of pruning on this thread haven't they!
