Is this story fictional, factual or just a mystery to be solved? Are you in the cast without knowing it? If so, how will the story end for you?
You’re in love and you’ve been dating for a few years. You had no reason to suspect that anything could go wrong.
You never saw it coming. You return home one day and your lover, SL, tells you that they’re leaving you immediately and moving in with a work associate, an American called ND. ND has decided to open up a new venture here and SL is going with them. SL tells you they think your future prospects no longer appeal and ND offers SL a life of luxury. SL will move their stuff out in 2 weeks. For good measure SL tells you that ND wants to be friends and offer you a position in the business too. That’s it! Take it or leave it. Accept it and move on! Really?
Desperate and rejected, you decide to find out a little more about this dark force that swept in and rocked you to your very foundations. So, you start browsing and checking out social media: you learn many things.
Clearly ND is a clever marketeer but possibly runs some kind of quasi-pyramid structure. The earliest people to join ND’s venture automatically become group leaders in their own selected, confined area and they’re encouraged to lean on, cajole and influence others to join their group. You learn that ND keeps a black book, within which are kept everyone’s full name and address details: powerful data to be used at will and for his own advantage. Of course, ND never admits the details are for any other reason than to ensure people are genuine. People joining the lower tiers are like pawns. The group leaders are also like mediators; they may not realise it at first but they’re able to censor and control who is allowed to be in their group and whether they approve of the discussion subjects.
You thought you knew SL well and you can’t begin to understand how SL allowed themselves to be swept up by this person.
Whilst finding out more about what ND looks like and what others have said about ND on social media and forums, you happen to see a few photos of an attractive, younger-looking person in the background. This person, K, appeals to you and lightens your dark moments. You learn that K is actually a cousin of ND but K’s demeanour looks different. In fact, you realise that K looks a lot like your stolen lover, SL. Feeling brave you invite K into your friendship circle. Amazingly, they respond willingly and quickly, explaining that whilst K has to mix with ND back home, K doesn’t approve of ND’s ways and means. K likes you too and you arrange to meet up. K seems chatty, good at listening to your problems and eager to help you out.
Will you get together with K or just accept the fait accompli? Will there be a happy ending?
Clues: If A = 1 to Z = 26, then 14 4 = Where does your neighbour live? 19 12 = What gets lived on a synonym for a road? For K check out 23 23 23. 11 1 8 21 20 9. 3 15 130 -

I was a user of Streetlife for a long time and tried to move over to Nextdoor but it wasn't for me..... The community didn't seem as friendly, which really sucked and we all know about them showing the exact location ... kinda scary!
I came across Helpfulpeeps back in January after seeing a Facebook ad and I'm pretty hooked!!! Everyone is super friendly.. It's all about helping each other and asking if you need something and I've been totally shocked. Got some help with gardening which was a bit out of the blue. Thanks to everyone here because there's some new places for me to try .... hopefully helpfulpeeps is a bit of a welcome relief after this Nextdoor trouble for you guys too

More spam in this thread than in a Monty Python sketch.....

I was really sad when Streetlife closed and wasn't happy with Nextdoor at all with their restricitive loacation and abominable privacy settings (or lack of!!). I saw an ad on Facebook for ScoopLoop this weekend and it's by far the best alternative I've seen since the whole ordeal. Privacy is not compromised, the area sizes are decent and not as restricvtive as Nextdoor's and the layout is way more user friendly than other local sites like MyStreetLink and Kahuti I've seen. Membership is a little low at the minute they only launched recently but I think it's the best alternative to Streetlife. It's also UK owned and operated, by a small team in London who are extremely responsive to feedback.0

I've had a quick look at tha above, seems like business orientated, find a plumber sort of thing, not chat about local stuff, like dog poo on pavement or fly tippingEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Wow scooploop could do with some members, nothing like streetlife. That was a waste of registration, as for kahuti if you want to read pages of jokes, cycling vs car debates and numerous pages of inane chit chat it is certainly the place to go.........................
Will keep looking :-)0 -
Despite the original concerns over Nextdoor, it does seem to now be picking up where Streetlife left off around me.0

I've had an invite from a person 1 street away from me to join Nextdoor.
Has his street address but postef via royal mail to my full address.
Big question. Where did he get my address. I lie lower than a limbo dancer on socal media and Google.
Whilst I don't mind joining a good local site. I am not joining a site which is really out for using my info to make money or to sell it off to someone else.
Or a site which likes to blase my full details to my local neighbours, which to honest, some I don't wish to know.
All I can say the guy has wasted a 2nd class stampThe more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!0
