Hi gang
Be easy on yourself Happy Kitties - you know you did your best for her, you lovely lady :A
I've had a busy weekend at the inlaws - pal's wedding on Friday, OH's bday on Saturday, chilling out today though. Need to drive home at some point - snow is meant to stop at 2ish so we'll go shortly after that.
Sorted YNAB this morning. We've paid £1157 to debts this month
Catch up soon!0 -
So sorry to hear Happy Kitties, really hard when a pet can't be saved but you did all you could I am sure so try to be kind to yourself and like DNM says its ok to be sad.Happiness is wanting what you have...0

HappyKitties, I was wondering where you were
How sad but I'm sure she had a wonderful life.
LaE, that's a huge chunk of debt paid off :T
I steeled myself to took a look at my accounts last night and paid £800 of my tax rebate off of my Mr T CC. This one isn't on interest free and I've been throwing everything I have at it every month but then using that for my spending so I at least avoid the interest on whatever I've paid off. The idea has been that hopefully I will spend a bit less each month but the reality hasn't been the case. This month I am not spending on it so I have left myself a little extra in my account for spending to the end of the month. I only have two more weekly rail tickets to buy and I'm hoping that refunds for disruptions last month will pay for most of one of those. The amount owed now will be paid off (along with my bank loan) when I cash in an old but small pension in April.
Today I will visit my mum and drop off a few books I have for her plus the crepe pan. Hopefully she'll have read the last lot I gave her so I can get them on WBB while they are still current.
I'd like to do a roast dinner tonight but DH is visiting his parents while I am at my mums and she is cooking him a curry. We also planned to have our Valentines dinner out tonight as the pub we have vouchers for are doing a set menu on Valentine's so won't accept them. We might have to reschedule that to tomorrow instead.
I've had an offer on something ending on eb@y today and have replied with a counter offer. I hope they go for it because if I go any lower it'll hardly be worth it after fees.
I transferred £70 of my p@ypal balance to my number 2 account last night, I'll check its in later and move to number 1 account.
I'm hoping to buy a small hand axe today to chop the pallet wood. If all goes well it should pay for itself time and time again.
Have a good day allMake £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -

Not quite the snow overnight I was expecting, but grey and cold here none the less
I'm snuggles up with a coffee for now. Just thinking of what I need to achieve today :
Need to do meal plan I didn't do yesterday
Make a small transfer to DH new account to check it 'works' before I move a big chunk
Roast dinner using sliced meat in freezer. Will cook in gravy. Think I got this tip of foxgloves ages ago and we do I regularly now to make our joints go much further
May do a small shop to see us through until Thursday
Run
Need to call the company I wanted to get on a chat with yesterday as their chat wasn't active and it appears it rarely is. Which sums up their customer service
Message a friend about something that should save us some money.
No school stuff to get ready as they're off this week:D
I need to think about a potential large expense, DH really needs a new car. We bought a run around nearly 4 years ago, to be honest didn't think it would last this long and we're just trying to Pre empty what might be an mot fail next month (and expense that outweighs cost of car) but we really don't want another run around for various reasons, that are are a bit too long winded to bore you. However, any alternatives just seem costly when we've not been paying the capital on the current car. Hmm, something to mull over.
Happy Sundays folks. Purps.
Done menu plan and shop. Got some reasonable ys items. 3 x the lad of bread we have for 18p each, 18p muffins and 36p bagels. All stashed in freezer. Lots of other ys items but not sufficiently reduced for me to be tempted.
Got home and DH was prepping stuffing and veg for roast. I stretched a bns between a goulash and 2 x bns macaroni (one for Tuesday tea and one for freezer) swede was split between roast and goulash.
Just need to make crumble for later. Contemplating run tooI'll just let my sausage sandwich go down first :rotfl:
Happy kitties hugs x0 -
Hi February Folks,
A day off. :T Just back from "helping " DW with the grocery shopping...
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:
* 70p paid from Quidco from a purchase last Summer. Can't get the 70p until I have £1 available, though.
* Got Yellow-sticker milk in Tesco.
*£2 off M&S through credit card. Bought a jar of olives and some yellow-sticker sausages for 5p.
* Spent £6 on luxuries in Iceland using RM Surveys vouchers.
* Didn't buy flowers for Valentines, just bought DW some chocs she likes.
* Finally got around to mounting two frames on the bedroom wall. I dislike clutter on units.
* Tidied Study...DW had been in there...
* Wrapped DW's birthday gifts in paper left over from Decemberfest.
* Deep cleaned and tided bathroom with Stardrops and washable cloths. Must have a word with Clutterbug Dowd.
* Replaced bathroom bulb with one given to us free from energy saving organisation. It had started to flicker so it was sure to blow very soon.
* Backed up Finances spreadsheet.

Bob I got DH to go with me last night, it was snowing (just wet stuff) but DS was at a remote pub up on the moors and I didnt fancy heading up there on my own. DS1 stayed at the mystery friends and we were all tucked up in bed at 1am. Both boys very quiet - DS1 hungover, DS2 doesnt look like he had much sleep.
Sorry to hear your news Kitty, go easy on yourself.
Footie cancelled - waterlogged pitch. I have done some shredding and paperwork sorting. Now I am sitting here with the fire lit doing absolutely nothing - a very rare thing for me.
Roast lamb for tea, might make a cake while the oven is on. Need to make plans for the week, it will be busy as ever.0 -
Today is grey, wet, cold with snow falling but not settling. We have lit the stove 3rd day in a row.
This morning OH and the children went to martial arts training, we prepay to get a discount
Whilst they were out I used the time to do things for me, I managed to get it tidied away just as dd opened the gate.
We have done a couple of lessons and as well as the housework.
Me and dd are of out with my sister and niece in a few minutes. My sister is driving and the activities and snacks are free.
I plan to spend nothing today as well as doing all the usual bits and pieces.

Had to take my cat to the vets on Friday, it was her final journey:(
Have been absolutely heartbroken and so flat, it's been horrible to say the least.
It was particularly difficult because this little cat who was never sociable, always abit of a loner, even as a kitten, fuss on her own terms, when I first got her as a kitten, she wouldn't come near anyone, the first time she came near me she lay on my knee.......the knee that was brewing such a serious infection that it left me fighting for my life and cost me my leg.I did everything I could to try and save her, but I just couldnt:(
Haven't really done much this weekend, done a few bits bec I've had to and my niece who came with me has stayed over, just dropped her at work.
Been reading through the boards this morning and have decided to join the grocery challenge, just to try and focus on something....other plan for today, go easy on myself and clean the kitchen floor......always feel better for some reason when I've got a clean kitchen floor-even though it sounds daft:o
Happy Kitties I'm so sorry for your loss. All the things that have occured to me to say sound like truisms. Time will heal, you did your best etc.
There is so much unnecessary cruelty in our world. Kindness is so important, and you gave that gift to your pet. If everyone focused on being as kind as they could every day the world would be an amazing place. I hope you will be ok. :A" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
