The postman delivered an Am@zon package today (correct address but never heard of the person) and DS opened it and it contains an Am@zon gift card  I've no idea what to do with it, can I keep it? And how can I find out how much is on it? (It's in a thing shaped like a cup cake, never seen anything like it before.)

FVD what I would say about MWJs is you do feel resentful, I did at least. sometimes an hour feels so long, you do so much in it and the pay so low and if you had manager's that get on your case like I did. it was hard knowing I went from £17ph to mw!DF as at 30/12/16

Morning all
Brrr, freezing wind today  but dry at least! Heating is on
Today's list:
Received 2 items from RM surveys that have yielded free printer paper and packaging materials including a really strong and well padded jiffy bag
Took dogs to park for a run, and small mutt found a badger poo to roll in  Straight in the sink for a bath (big belfast sink, 3.8 kg dog) when we got back, and currently sulking in his bed :rotfl:
Still to do:
Fold and put away dry washing as I didn't do it last nightDone
Post office to dispatch ebay sales and a RM surveys parcel Done
Took an unwanted lamp to the CS, who were pleased to have it. I had tried, and failed to sell it, but they have a different clientele
It is no longer rolling about in the boot of my car
Parsnip soup made yesterday for lunch, OH can finish off the fajitas from last night, there is enough of everything left to make a decent wrapDone
Make fish cakes for tonight, amazing what you can do with a tin of tunaPostponed fishcakes, as I found outdoor bred pork chops reduced to a reasonable £2.79 for 3, which I knew would delight OH and DS. Had these with chips and peas.
Must do some housework today! Took down and washed kitchen curtains, washed window sill, frame etc and cleaned glass. Took all the knives off the knife rack and cleaned around that. Looks much better now, better still when the curtains are dry, ironed and back up again
And buy toothpaste, which I forgot the other day Done
Another dog walk, on a lead this time! Done, and DS was back from work in time to take his own dog out for a change :T
Paperwork / accounts for business Done monthly tot up
Check stock of packaging materials Done
Made a loaf in the BM
I am sure there is more, but that is all I can think of at the moment!0 -
Morning all,
Nothing to report here and seems everything a bit calmer for us all today.
Todays list:
*washing mountain dance
*quick spruce up/general tidy
*work, work, work
*survey experiment
*check bank account just to make sure all is how it should be
*food...bf and lunch from home as usual but unsure what to have tonight as I don't think I will be doing chip supper as was planned.
Last night was a beef chilli surprise which was nice but haven't had meat in a while so felt a bit heavy. I think there is one more unidentified meal in the freezer so sill have to try it when feeling brave! I need to sort freezer out actually as has got a bit disorganised and need to know what is in there for meal planning...exciting friday night date with my freezer it is!Happiness is wanting what you have...0 -

Wohoo!!
I have realised I have actually paid £2216 more off my mortgage than I thought, an extra payment from Tax credits of £60.08 went in today unexpectedly and my grant (although still not amount I hoped for) went in today too!
The grant money as I have already paid out means my little UK holiday accommodation for the summer is paid! Something to look forward to without the stress. Going to push into savings until amount due. All I need now is travel and spends but had worked this out in advance and its doable. I know I am not in a position for holidays but I feel guilty I haven't taken DD away for quite some time and so i researched something really cheap and know she will love it - plus makes all this feel that much more doable and gives me something to look forward toHappiness is wanting what you have...0 -
