Got a fair bit of paid stuff done today, which is always pleasing. Also did some money shuffling, and cleaned the oven () It wasn't actually that bad once I got stuck into it, and I keep popping into the kitchen to have a look at how nice it looks
DH away tonight, so easy tea for me once kiddies in bed. Big sticks to throw at black dogs, and hope everyone has managed to find at least a small window of time in the day for themselves.

Just popping in on the way through....welcome to newbies, and ((hugs)) to Dizzy and anyone else in need.
Been off list today, so bathroom and cloakroom look sparkly for 5 minutes, but hall and landing still grim. WM run and mostly dry by the time I got home. It was hanging up inside, mind, as it is freezing outside.
Dropped pork into the slow cooker before work to make pulled pork for tea. Wondered what the nice smell was when I got home from paid stuff! It will be relay eating tonight, as I have to go on a first aid course for volunteering just as DH due home from work.
I ought to do some finance stuff , but need to find the enthusiasm from somewhere...0 -
I am sorry, I just can't join in at the moment. I am down and the dogs not well. I have been awake for nights with him. He seems to have a number of ailments and whimpers a lot. I have this dread of waking up and finding him gone. I can bear the thought of it but I know he is knocking on.
I am not in the best state of health and have a few other problems. However I am still here and lurking a couple of times a day. I am trying to stick to list. I forgot to ask DH to take the vacuum upstairs for me this morning so instead of doing the stairs I carried on with my quest of cleaning the cooker. I couldn't bring myself to pay the £70 that they quoted me. So I have decided to split the cleaning into 3 and do the hob today ,which I did and it looks like new. The middle bit (grill ) will be done tomorrow and on Saturday I will do the oven itself, I have already done the glass door and the shelves.
We are really poor at the moment until 11 th march anyway when the holiday has been paid in full. It will be worth it in May, I keep telling myself.DD has already given me her list of holiday clothes she would like . It will have to wait till Easter holidays though.
I honestly dont know what's to do with me. I was fine in January, I only started like this when we hit February. I hate feeling sorry for myself.
I am rambling, sorry xxx

I'm here. I should be studying, but my brain can't cope non-stop.
I lost a post last night  This will have to be an abridged version.
(((Hugs))) and big sticks for LW, Dizzy Imp and loudmouth. I hope you all begin to feel better soon.
Welcome to newbies and other lurkers
Enjoy your holiday, Bossy.
DH went to TIA/Stroke Clinic on Wednesday. Basically he has been discharged, but the results of the EEG that he had before Christmas give some cause for concern, so he is being referred to a neurologist. This week he's lost 2 clinics and gained 1 - a bit like SW lbs for some of us? He definitely isn't allowed to drive yet and is currently huffing and puffing his way through filling in another long form for the DVLA.
The Respiratory team have sent him an appointment for a procedure involving a camera next Tuesday, but he will have to stay in hospital for at least 48 hours afterwards, so we shall have to see if they have a bed for him.
I managed to S&S the "workmen's loo" this morning. Tomorrow I shall be out all day on my course - deep joy! (not the way I feel atm)
So we plod on...0 -
Thanks for hugs xxxx feel a tad better. Guess who did a dark wash with a tissue? Nooooooooooooo. I have been sat with a cloths brush trying to get rid of white bits. Think I will have to wash it all again.
Down stairs is looking pretty dam good if I say so myself.
DD due home in ten minutes, so enjoying the peace while it lasts!

Loudmouth do you have a tumble drier? Tumbling helps get rid of tissue fluff.
Ionafan my Dad is waiting for a surgical procedure .. waiting and waiting. I am sure there are more urgent cases on the list above him but he is getting increasingly worried about it all. Hope camera test goes well.
The house is OKish. Just put a quick wash on, there is some clean washing in the drier waiting to be put away but I will deal with that later. I should be doing paid stuff but I am sitting here wondering if I could squeeze an elliptical trainer into my office instead of actually doing anything productive!
Hope the visit went OK Dizzy.
Catch up later x0 -
I've been pretty AWOL on the flying front this week. Mr N did a whole load of flying on Mon while I tried to catch up with work and baked MIL a birthday cake.
Have kept up with basic tidying, washing, DW, emails and filling bird feeders this week but still behind with more in-depth cleaning, decluttering, report writing and general "stuff".
Still wrestling with utilities for MIL new flat; at one stage she had her old phone number which would ring out but not in, and a new number which did the opposite.............
We've just been to visit the friends with the whippet puppy, cute cute cute. Now got time to do a bit of work before we take MIL out for a birthday meal (Tesc0 vouchers).
Fairies now visit the feeders several times a day, up to 12 of them.
I have several insurances due for renewal at the end of the month so that's more searching. Sigh.
Sounds as if lots of you need a lot of hugs, sticks and general encouragement......spring is creeping in. Lots of snowdrops in our garden (and a bit of snow falling now).Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
