Evening :hello:
Pretty much as Kazw says....
No internet connecting this morning so I gave up as I only had 5 minutes anyway. Posts now appearing from earlier today so not sure what is going on...
Work done, minimum dailies done
Started sleeting here this afternoon, and sort of settling. Beautiful out earlier with a bit of snow and a huge moon - beautiful when you were indoors looking out, anyway. Hoping for a lie in tomorrow as it's been a long old week.
Lots of ((hugs)) all round, as lots of people in need. X0 -
Half term woot

In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
We had a little snow too but didn't settle.
Picked up some epicene from the chemist.
Took a cake to DH at lunch time to cheer him up.
Popped in Mr Ms
I have deleted thousands of emails and flagged a few that need to be dealt with.
I have been working through my frog list too.
I even mopped the kitchen and conservatory.
Hope poorlies are feeling better.
Enjoy you holiday Bossy X
Ionafan Hope camera test goes well and a bed is available. X
Gentle hugs for LW. I had cuddles with a lovely little dog the other day. Not sure of the breed. X0 -
Morning all
I have a slight wine related headachebut DH is working all weekend so the show must go on! I have just set the DW going, will sort kiddies breakfast shortly.
Plan is to go for a walk round a local reservoir, then out for a bit of lunch. My best friend is coming with us, and we all need the fresh air, so hoping it stays dry!
Need to strip DD bed and clean the bath - had a lovely soak in posh bath oil yesterday, but now it has a horrid tide mark!
Have marvellous days all xxxMFW

Not too sure what will be on the agenda today, it depends on whether DH is working on his bike in the garage! I want to freshen up my LR and hall carpet with my Steam cleaner but need him to help move the furniture so I might just get the hall done. Bitter windy day here so might do some baking this afternoon. Meeting up with the gals tonight to see a local duo.
Have a good day all and stay warm xSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Last night's snow settled to cover everywhere, although the road has now cleared off. It looks like we might have some more in store.
DD has decided that she wants to go to the stables for longer today, so I will drop her off and then drive back later to get her. It beats sitting in a freezing car for a couple of hours, but the trade off is a 30 mile round trip.
DH is apparently going to crack on with the bathroom....we shall see.....I desperately want my bathroom back !!
I might tackle the spare room today and DD bedroom while she is out. Although the utility room is still a tip...so many choices...!
Have some bread proving on the side and homemade soup for lunch, so feeling pretty domestic goddess. It won't last!
Have good days all.0 -
Welcome SilvaSava and Amzwoody! Marvellous to see new people joining and posting, rather than just lurking. As for swishing and swiping tips, a wet microfibre cloth with a dash of cheapo flash-type cleaning fluid does a marvellous job. Takes seconds, quite literally.
Healing vibes for your sore throat, Valli and have a happy half term.
Sorry to hear your OH needs more tests Ionafan. This has been going on for quite a while now, hasn't it? (((Hugs))) for you both.
Hugs for you Dizzy. I think I'd be in complete meltdown if I were trying to cope with everything that life's throwing at you. Healing vibes for Mutley so that you saved the £££ haemorrhaging from your bank account.
(((Hugs))) also for LW, Ionafan and Loudmouth.
Bossy, you're more than capable of doing this yourself, but just in case you don't have the time, here for recycling your specs, but according to something I've just read online, research in Australia has shown that it's more expensive to recycle them than it is to provide new specs to people who need them which may be why the schemes are now hard to find.
Worried about not hearing from Jazee. She's normally here first thing every day during the week. I hope Mumof2 is doing okay, too.
It's snowing here, but only the occasional flake blowing in. It's dry and rather magical.
I've been laid up again with this wretched cold and it's still hanging around with OH too. Apparently that's completely normal and is expected to be with us for at least three weeks, possibly four. Very debilitating. My DAB radio and the dehumidifier at the chalet have decided to throw in the towel, and suddenly the 'clutter' we have of duplicates for mos things doesn't seem such a sin after all. I can't help it if people offer us stuff that they don't have a use for any more, can I?
Oooh, bonus, too. For anyone who forgets to take their £9 off a £60 shop at Sainsbobs as OH did this week because he is full of cough and cold - go back to Customer Services with the receipt and your Nec*ar card and explain - and they give you Sainbobs gift card with the a £9 credit! Wooty woot woot woot as Valli would say, and thank you very much Sainsbobs! Absolutely excellent customer service and much appreciated.
Have finished putting away the washing, tidied up and gathered all the new paperwork that doing the old paperwork generated. Another day of shuffling through it with a long list of stuff that needs doing. I think it's time to put the sewing machine away because there just won't be time to do any more until we come back from Barcelona and we need the dining table for tomorrow evening's meal.Better is good enough.0 -
