Afternoon flyers. Thanks for the concern HB.

I have been lurking but not posting as I haven't been flying, except some ironing of DHs work shirts yesterday morning.

We are currently living in one room plus the bedroom. I have to do the paid stuff amongst the chaos too. Solicitor has been contacted, we seem further back with the refurb than we were a week ago. Plus I've been on a downer because of DHs illness.

Anyhow, spring is around the corner. Snowdrops appearing which is lovely. And the dogs keep me sane. We haven't been out walking today as its pouring with rain, but I have been to do a local shop which has made a change and I have fresh fruit and salad in the house, so will try to keep away from takeaways this week.

Next today is play time with LittleyDog and Poppet.

I hope everyone is ok. Hugs where required esp Dizzy for all that she puts up with, Valli for the sore throat and Iona for her DH. Hope I haven't forgotten anyone, but as Bossy would say - sometimes I read but it goes in one eye and out the other...
Spend less now, work less later.

    Bathroom scrubbed
Airing cupboard sorted, clothes folded and put away. Ironing basket is now full.
Took ds2 to see Le go batm an, discovered his cinema pass has expired, he wasn't impressed with the film but I had a short nap (DH was there too so don't worry)
Mr T delivery arrived and has been out away.

Hugs Jazee hope refurbishment goes quickly and smoothly. X

Well done on the mending FBO X

DH is watching football and I'm cooking tea.

Had a steady day, have stripped and remade DS'S bed. Been to look for a new laundry basket in TK Max and the range but no joy.
    Feeling fine

  • Hi all, just checking in quickly. DS2 out with friends and we wont see him until tomorrow. DS1 has gone to a party, an old schoolfriend tracked him down on fb and invited him to his 18th birthday. DS1 finds these kind of social occasions hard so I was really chuffed that he agreed to go, hope he is having a good time.

So its just me, DH, the dog, the fire and the telly. Oooh and some posh crisps on offer from the local supermarket.

Been doing paid stuff today, got lots of washing sorted, will have to try and get the hoover out tomorrow.
  • Morning All :)

    Happy belated birthday Natty xx
I too have been wondering about Mumof2, I really hope she is ok x

Had a lie in until 7, unheard of in this house! DH was meant to be working all weekend but managed to get finished yesterday. He was chilled to the core when he got home as he had been working outside all day, with heavy aluminium parts which were like ice. So he is still in bed and here I am :D

Not a lot planned today, got all laundry done yesterday. I suspect we will light the fire this morning then just potter around. DD wants to bake with DH, fine by me, I will happily eat whatever they make :D

    Have lovely days all xx

    Hello everybody
Can I join in, please? My house is a mess, I haven't cleaned properly since Christmas :o Bathroom is total filth.
I want to clean this week:
    -kitchen
    -bathroom done
-sort and tidy up son's toys done
    -hoover through out only lounge
    -change beds done
    I'll be back soon.

Some improvement, still didn't manage to do everything I planned, disappointed.

I've never managed to finish one of my own lists, so as far as I'm concerned you're completely normal.

Couldn't sleep. Cough and cold are vile but the dog's been walked, the DW unloaded and stuff in the dining room tidied. It's a start.
    Better is good enough.

Don't focus on what you didn't do, but what you did. If you're starting from new, and everything needs doing it will be harder.
If you can follow the lists daily then you WILL see and improvement over time. Your house didn't deteriorate into a state in a day...and won't be returned to pristine perfectection in a day. Level 1 daily and you'll get get there, plus you'll get more efficient.:T
    Well done you:T
