    Morning All

Coming out of lurkdon to join you please.
I seem to have lost my mojo of late - the house is what my SiL would call 'top dirt clean' so I'm going to get my arris in gear and post my list for today to motivate me.
Clear kitchen of kibble from yesterday
    Wipe surfaces
Batch up soup made yesterday and freeze
    Hoover & dust bedrooms
    Clean bathrooms
Steam clean a patch on my bedroom carpet

I tend to clean upstairs one day then come down the stairs and do the downstairs the next day. There are only the two of us now and a prima donna cat who brings in more mess than a three year old!
I've also got a big garden so I need to be on top of the housework to free up time for the garden!
Catch you later - I'm going in.............!

  • Dam, I missed a cuppa with Dancemum. ,!
I think by now most off you know I have osteoarthritis in both knees and feet, it's really getting me down. I was reading yesterday about turmeric, I was wondering if any of you know if it's worth paying the £20 they were asking for 30 tablets?
Feeling a bit better in myself today.Going to play catch up and get all jobs done this morning before DH goes off on his late shift at 12.30 when I intend to sofa up and watch a film before child gets home.
    Big hugs to all xxx

    Morning,

Just hung towels up after washing - inside as I don't think anything is going to dry out there today...

Presentation at college today. Have checked three times that the memory stick is in my bag :rotfl: Will also check three times that my bag gets in the car with me :p:D

Bins sorted this morning. NDN also away next week so we need to ask the other side if they'll put both our bins out next week.

I seem to have a list as long as my arm of things to do before the weekend. And my new glasses are yet to arrive... Will call them now actually...

    See you later!

Ooh loudmouth no specific experience of that but I think sugars are supposed to be highly inflammatory. Deffo worth some research before you invest ££s. There might be som dietary trigger you could eliminate first? Good luck.

Just taking quick break from my list. Nearly finished but back aching so 5mins on here!
Loudmouth - I'm interested in turmeric too for DH who has arthritis in his hands. I've heard the proper powdered form is much better and combined with black pepper is very effective. (also very much cheaper)Think Michael Mosely did some research on it (the guy who's doing the sugar free diet at the moment) Give it a google?

At last...the long awaited cuppa :coffee: Errands done, slipped in grocery shopping and diesel filling on the way. Even managed to get to the market for fruit and veg which doesn't usually happen, so every cloud and all that I suppose. I tried to start nibbling at a frog while I was there but it wasn't having any of it.
WM on, beds stripped and remade, dining room dusted. Shopping still staring sadly at me from the worktop....
Good luck with the appointment Dancemum. I have to get my head in that same place next week for DD :(
Good luck with the presentation Bossy
Right, time to look at the lists. I have put on music to help me, but had to remove the Xmas CD and get the cobwebs off the plug  I think I maybe better start in the kitchen....
    See you later x

DS room was starting to smell boy. Anyone growing up with a brother will know what that was like :rotfl:

I still can't stomach single cream, which I had a silent name for as a child, related to having two brothers. *bleaergh* ... searches for vomit smiley ...

    I have invented a dinner...

pasta, with mangetout, sweetcorn and a chopped spring onion, cooked together. Add chicken from half a breast (they were big breasts (ooh err missus)) and stir through half a tub of quark with a pinch of mustard powder and salt and pepper.

it needs tweaking..but it's edible! :rotfl:

Pesto. I realise it's love or hate but when the pasta's in the saucepan the pasta jar is always being raided here.

I'm now just about at my heaviest. :(

Bedroom lightbulb has just blown. The last of my old style bulbs. It tripped the circuit breaker but surprisingly the landing light stayed on. (It must be in another circuit).
    Batteries/light bulb/pocket tissues/ 3D glasses/ bike lock drawer sorted.

Hugs about the weight, Dancemum. It just means you've got a pillowy tummy for kids to cuddle - much more comfortable than sticky-out bones.

As for lightbulbs, good old Wilkinson's sells them but the boxful. They're regarded as 'industrial use' so you might have to ferret around a bit to find them but I'm with you, can't be doing with the brightness of modern bulbs. It shows all the dust for one thing.

I think, for the first time in my life, I'm getting a follow on cold. I woke up this morning with a very sore throat and that only happens when a new cold's starting, so I'm really upset. We're off to Barcelona next week for OH's 70th birthday celebrations so I thought I'd be free and clear of it by then. Hmff.

Dog hydrotherapy'd, shopping done, put away (mostly), euros got for jolly hols, stock of dog food laid in for while the dog-sitter is here and now to sort out some irritating bits of paperwork that need dealing with. Then I'll give the duster a bit of a flap.
    Better is good enough.
  • Just checking in quickly. Very basics done, nothing else. Dad taken to hospital appointment, DS1 taken to work and picked up, some paid stuff done, 1 load of washing done and dried, everyone fed. DS may have a UTI, dog still has itchy ears (hoping to avoid a vets visit) and I am absolutely shattered.

    Bedtime.
  • Hi all,

Just checking in to say hello, not a great deal of flying done, as two long paid stuff days Monday and Tuesday, and today it was long dog walk, plus horsey riding, shopping delivery and feeling slightly coldy. Just been keeping on top of the basics really.
However, I'm feeling quite good and have sticks for everyone who needs them, help yourselves!
Iona glad your OH is feeling a little better. Valli 8lb is mega! Well done. I'm eating with gay abandon at the moment, because I'm exercising a lot and this makes me think I can eat as many biscuits as I like.
Dizzy I hope you have a crisis free day soon x

    Tomorrow is flyday.
