Well done in surviving work and eating healthily. Glad your vacuum cleaner is being sorted. I am so interested in the Shark hoover - I keep seeing it on the telly. My hoover isn't v old so I can't upsize.

  • I am so tired. I have been to work this morning and done 2 puppy walks, one in the sun and one this evening in the rain !

Online banking checked and money moved around to pay another credit card payment tomorrow. My house insurance is due for renewal next week so I need to get some quotes over the weekend.

I've used some mince from the freezer with some pasta for dinner. I've taken a West Country steak and ale pie out for tomorrow - I bought two a few weeks ago reduced from £2.60 to 65p.

It is so good that you are having these puppy walks as walking is motivating. Good luck with renewal. Yum on bargain food.

Sunny day today but very windy and some sharp showers.

I walked puppy in the sun when I got home from work then had a bag of curry noodles for lunch (pack of 4 for £1 in store cupboard).

This afternoon I finally went to the hospital and had my blood tests which would have been 2 weeks ago if DF had not fallen ill. Now that I've done the tests I can start taking the medication the doctor gave me in march to try and sort out my throat ! I also made a payment off my 0% credit card.

It was cold and raining when I came out of the hospital. I walked to the shop and bought a jar of tikka sauce £1 for dinner with some chicken from the freezer.

The petrol light came on today so I will need to put £10 in tomorrow. The car is being collected by the garage on Friday for a service so I need to put some petrol in or they will not be happy if it runs out on the way to the garage. They collect and deliver it back and wash & valet it as part of my service plan which includes service and MOT. The MOT passed in January.

I have a day off on Friday and a friend is coming round so I am looking forward to that.

I hope the blood tests go well. I can't believe you walked in the showers by me the showers were lethal. I was lucky when I walked I missed the rain.

I am glad you have Friday off - hurrah you can have fun.

  • I'm glad your dad is back home and comfy again! And big congrats on being able to update your signature that must feel great :D

The weather has been flipflopping between absolute downpours and blazing sunshine down here - and obviously it was a downpour during my lunchbreak when I was planning on going for a walk!!

I think I might have to look into your hoover - we have a long haired, super fluffy cat that sheds EVERYWHERE and whilst our hoover does pick it all up, it's quite a work out to do so (going over each bit of the carpet repeatedly on hands and knees!)

  • Thanks Pink, its good to reduce the credit card bill but I am struggling at the moment financially after using most of my emergency fund travelling between home in the south and the north and the additional expenses I have had in the last few months. In fact I am in a bit of a mess.

I realised today that my line rental saver runs out and I need to find £196 or my monthly bill will increase by £19. I usually have the funds to pay this. My home insurance runs out on 1 May and I usually have the funds to pay this, but I may be able to find a pay monthly option hopefully at no extra cost. I think my car is going to need new tyres too :( I've only got £300 in the bills fund.

The new hoover is great for dog hair and sucks it up instantly :D I have just hoovered the car in about 15 minutes as it hasn't been cleaned since I took the dog up north when my mum passed away and it was too disgusting to let the garage have it tomorrow :o I probably shouldn't have bought it as that's another £200 on the 0% credit card but I couldn't manage 10 working days without a hoover when puppy is moulting (that's how long it will take vax to send me replacement)

Just feel really low at the moment :(

OMG no wonder you are down. You have been through so much. I don't know how you have dealt with it.

Can you charge the linesaver etc to your credit card on 0%?

You need to speak to dr as this is so much to cope with.

Sending all my love and hugs. Swx
