Lovely and sunny here today :j

I have one load of washing already out on the line and another one just finishing. Later I will also wash the dog bedding per instructions before use. We paid a bit extra for vetbed bedding but saved money on other things to compensate for it.

Bank rewards came in today for the month, total now £36.22. Pretty good for doing nothing !

    Other plans for today

    1. get DS to put large dog crate in the shed for when puppy is too big for medium crate - both on loan so saved a fortune

    2. mop / disinfect kitchen floor & wipe round medium dog crate ready for use

    3. get DS to go in the loft and bring down the remains of a roll of lino to make a mat for food/water bowls to sit on and avoid spills going everywhere

I am going to price up a pressure washer later as my neck and shoulders are really painful today from scrubbing the patio. I used a long handled bristle brush but it still sent my neck into spasm last night and thankfully DS gently manipulated my disks with the heel of his hand last night which settled it. Don't want to trigger this again hosing down after puppy.

I hope you managed to get drying done. Well done on cleaning before puppy comes and also sorting out floor too. Good luck with getting a good price on a pressure washer. Puppy is going to love you and house!

Washing was mostly dried outside before the rain began and finished on airers. Its been raining all afternoon. We've had a bit of a disaster with the car carrier as amaxon delivered the wrong one again !! despite DS phoning them yesterday and them promising to send the right one today :(

The 2 they have delivered would have been ok 4 weeks ago but not now they are far too small. The upshot is that they have refunded both and told us to keep them. That's all very well but we now have no car carrier and I cant find any large ones with seat belt clips for local collection tomorrow. I will go to pets at home after work and see what they have in stock, otherwise I have reserved one from argos which is better than nothing and hopefully the seatbelt will still go around it.

Poor you. You have done your best though. Can you put out a message on facebook to see if anyone has a pet carrier you can borrow ?

I don't do facebook as people at work have a go about those who don't want to be their friends !

No worries I got one in argos £26.99. Not as good as the one we wanted but it will do the job. I've washed the vetbed and hung out to dry as we had too much rain yesterday.

Lunch today was a bag of curry noodles 20p as we are having gammon dinner later this evening before DS goes to work. I'm trying to use up food we have in the cupboards / fridge / freezer to keep food shopping to a minimum before payday.

I managed to get a day off work to go with DS to collect puppy ... cant wait. Just need to mop floor and am just going for a walk to take some old shoes / trainers to the shoe bank near the pond.

Glad you have the day off work, it will be a great day. It's so good that the house is ready now. Your life will be so enriched with Puppy. I think she is a little princess and will be such a joy.

I'm not on facebook either for the same reasons. Work is work and life is so much better not to mix the two.

Puppy day, I am so excited :j  :T :j

I mopped the floor last night with the zoflora stuff I got cheap in B&M diluted per instructions and my god it's strong smelling stuff, very overpowering floral smell. Thankfully it has worn off a bit now but it was making my eyes water. I've had to wash the mop twice since in washing up liquid to try and get rid of the smell ! I will be only using the zoflora outdoors for the patio dog toilet area in future !

    Will report back later :)

Puppy is here :j Shes settling in well but taking up most of the day which is to be expected.

I called at The Range and bought a toy which you fill with treats as they were the cheapest of the local shops. DS paid for puppy food and got the best he could afford based on good reviews and she has enjoyed it today. She is so funny and playful bouncing around the room and the next minute she is asleep :rotfl: Even after keeping us awake for part of the night she is still lovely and hopefully will settle better tonight.

Roll on payday! I am out for dinner with friends tomorrow evening and will print off some vouchers if I can find some before we go. Then I am out at a friends body shop party on Friday evening so I will need to try not to spend anything ! as I know my credit card bill is going to be a whopper (for me) to pay

Wow its amazing how much time a puppy takes up ! But she is so lovely she's worth it. DS is at work till 2pm so I have been on puppy duty since 6am. I think having had a baby helps, you get used to multi tasking and cleaning / tidying / showering when she is playing by herself and sleeping, or I pop her in the crate. House training is going well and she is now sleeping for 5 hours a night before needing to go outside to toilet. Not bad for 8 weeks old :) She is so funny, bouncing around the room stalking her toys and pouncing on them :happyhear

I have 3 loads of washing out on the line ... rain is forecast for here in the south from around 10am for the rest of the day, so I may have to dash out and bring it back in, but at the moment its sunny / cloudy / windy.

I went out with friends on Thursday evening and we ended up eating in wertherspoons, so cheap and cheerful as it was curry night. I drove so my friend bought me a soft drink and I got a soft drink free with my meal total cost £7.45 and had a great night catching up with all the chat.

Last night I went to another friends body shop party with the girls. I took a bottle of peach lambrini £2.99 ... I'm a cheap date :rotfl: I didn't buy anything as I am so skint but one of the girls is having another party next month so I might treat myself then. I did win a bottle of white musk shower gel on the raffle :T amount spent £1. The weather turned awful, wet and blowing a gale so I got soaked on the way home, she lives about 10 mins walk away, but at least I had my waterproof coat on with a hood.

Should be a NSD today !
