  • Not a bad day today but not as sunny and warm as the last two days.

No heating on yesterday & was a NSD for me

Today I have managed to get a load of washing out on the line DS's work stuff he's on nights so he's in bed so I am trying to be quiet. :rotfl: Leftover chicken from sundays roast for lunch with some curry noodles.

I have ordered the last 3 fence panels and posts for the garden. Roughly the same as last year £337, cheap it aint ! But the money was saved over 12 months and the fence is made to measure (panels are 9 foot long) and all tantalised which means it doesn't need painting or treating every year. :j It is being delivered the weekend before DP's come to stay. Will be glad once that's done, then the only other expenditure for a while hopefully will be to sort a leaky piece of guttering at the front of the house, the rear gutters were all replaced last year. Buying your own house may be cheaper than rent but its the upkeep that can be a killer !

I bought a few things in aldee on the way home from work, milk salad etc and if I've calculated correctly once that's come off I have £7.05 left till payday on Friday ! Blimey its scary sailing so close to the wind, I keep worrying I have forgotton something and will be overdrawn. Should be ok and have enough petrol for 2 days. Have always got emergency fund if something crops up so its not like I'm penniless or anything ;)

  • Not a good day at work. Spent half the morning with my cardi on inside out until one of my colleagues pointed it out :rotfl:

Miserable rainy day. Have spoken to Dr surgery and my test results are back and I have to make an appointment to get them but non urgent so that sounds promising.

Have just had the last of the leftover chicken from sunday for my lunch. Last night I did a roast beef and Yorkshire puds with the cheap beef joint I bought last week. There are leftovers for dinner tonight for me and DS, I will probably make a curry with it.

  • Its brightening up to be a nice afternoon I am just waiting for the washing machine to finish.

I popped into town after work to pick up DS's contact lenses for him as he is on nights and couldn't resist the lure of KFC. :o
I bought a mega box £3.99 for my lunch which leaves £3.06 in my bank account lol.

I did park in the "2 hours free road" and walked up to the opticians rather than pay for parking. :p

Its a good job its payday tomorrow as the petrol light is on, but I can get petrol on my way to work in the morning after I have been paid. :D

Once the washing has finished I am going for a walk for some fresh air and exercise. I know if I sit down for long I will fall asleep.

March seems to have been a very long month ! At least I have managed to get to the end of it with savings and not going overdrawn

  • My boss phoned this afternoon to let me know that there are moves afoot at work and I am being moved away from the b*tchy women and will now sit next to a lovely lady... am soooo pleased !!!:D

It didn't turn into a nice afternoon after all, we've had some rain - I was expecting a heat wave according to the weather forecast ! Am now cooking the last of the chicken breasts in some yoghurt and tandoori spices. I don't feel hungry but DS will take some to work later and the rest will keep in the fridge for lunch tomorrow.
