Morning you are doing so well. I am just about to have my second cup of tea.

We are both gardening today. It is a bit nippy here at the moment though.

  • Its a lovely day out there but very windy the washing is trying to take off !

My last load of washing is just finishing, the towels dried within an hour so I chucked in dressing gowns and 2 big furry throws and now I'm doing my work stuff which shouldn't take long to dry. I hope its nice like this tomorrow and I can get both beds stripped and washed and then I will be up to date for the first time since last autumn !

I've done the batch cooking, hoovered downstairs and managed to weed half the raised bed. I've put salt and boiling water on the weeds between the paving slabs - very moneysaving :money:lol.
I am exhausted. Having a sit down now, that's me done for the day apart from bringing the washing in later. Popping round to a friends for a cuppa in about half an hour.

Well done you you have done loads. It should be good weather for the next two days I think. You must be exhausted. :j

  • I suppose it sounds a lot. In reality it was a bit of cooking, some washing and a bit of weeding with lots of sitting down and resting in between :rotfl:I still fell asleep in front of the tv after dinner though :o woke up when DS got home from work at 11.30 and went to bed.

Then I got back up as remembered to put clocks forward an hour !

The weather is shaping up to be nice again today so I am going to wash the bedding and try to finish weeding the second half of the raised bed.

It was a NSD yesterday and hopefully the same today. DS is working again leaving at 1pm so he has offered to take me out on Monday for Mothers Day :)

I am weeding a bed in a few minutes. Weather is glorious.

Good that DS is taking you out. I bought my mum plants.

What a lovely sunny day. Its amazing what a difference it makes to my mood. :)

I managed to weed a 1/4 of the raised bed so just 1/4 left to do. My garden is looking nice with spring flowers daffs, tulips in pots, yellow celandine and blue grape hyacinths. The bluebells are coming up too which are my favourites.

I made myself a roast chicken dinner then went for a walk round the local pond in the sun and took some empty bottles/jars to the bottle bank on the way.

Then I was very naughty and bought chocolate brownie ice-cream. They had ben&J at £5.39 which I could not justify so I bought spar's own brand and tbh I couldn't tell the difference taste wise - cost £2. I've been asleep for 2 hours since  and have hidden the rest of the evidence in the bottom of the freezer :o

The heating has been off all day and is still off. I will put it on for 15 minutes later to take off the chill if it turns cold tonight with the clear skies. The weather is meant to stay nice Mon/Tue with rain wed onwards.

Your garden sounds great. Really well done.

You were entitled to icecream as you worked hard. Please, please let us have a nice summer and we can have many more days like this.

Another warm sunny day could get used to this :) No heating on at all yesterday !

I got in from work and washed DS's bedding & put out on the line then we went out for a late lunch.

DS drove to the nearby coast and we ate in the seafront tea rooms. Fairly reasonable prices which was a surprise although I wasn't paying as it was my mothers day treat :D Had a lasagne and a huge salad. I resisted a huge slice of cake and just had the tiniest sliver of DS's carrot cake which was scrummy. Had a wander in the sun then home and a snooze for an hour. :o
Have just had a potter in the garden, the salt and boiling water has worked really well on the weeds growing between my patio slabs so I have done the rest of the path.

Tomorrow I have to go after work and order the fence panels for my garden. The money is in my bills account already & the price shouldn't be a huge surprise as did half the fence last year so hopefully prices haven't gone up.

How lovely to go out for a nice meal with DS.

I hope the fence panels work out cheap. I am so chuffed that you did the washing too.

You did a lot today. Well done. :j
