Hello, I hope yesterday's melancholia passed you by and you're now feeling as sunny as the weather x
It's too darned hot for me, especially as I'm now starting to panic about the amount of work to do for next Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Hey Kittikins, good to "see" you. Hope you and KW & DD & kitties are well and living the dream
. The only problem with holidays is having to go back to work :rotfl:
Have been feeling down again this afternoon. I think it's the heat.
Have been lounging on the sofa watching TV and reading peoples diaries on DFW thread for inspiration. Another couple of hours and it should be cool enough to walk puppy dog. DS & gf have gone to work. Then they have 2 days off so I should be free of dog walking duties. I am meeting with a friend tomorrow afternoon, so looking forward to that.
Have also booked in for pamper session with friends on 7 Sept. Massage and facial £20. Will get some peach lambrini to take and some food maybe a quiche or some sort of nibbles. It will be after payday so come out of next months entertainment fund.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks lovely, we're all tip-top here (well, apart from DD's chronic pain thing that is still ongoing
). The heat is getting to me at the moment, I can't wait for it to cool down a bit so I can think straight during the day!
The kitties are now big boys, well, kind of! We think one of them had a little altercation with a local scary boy cat, as he hurt one of his back legs, but a quick check in with the vet and a few days of painkillers and he was right as rain again. His brother looked after him very well0 -
Sorry to hear DD is still having chronic pain hope things get better for her x
Lovely dog walk, cool but sunny early this morning. Picked some apples. DS & gf got home at 2am and will walk her later when it has cooled down.
Load of washing done on economy wash & hung out.
The cupboards are almost bare. Payday on Friday so I am going to try not to shop till then apart from 4 pints of milk & bananas.
Breakfast - cereal, banana, yoghurt.
Lunch - cheese & tomato or cheese & onion roll, crisps
Dinners -
lasagne ready meal & roasted veg
Gammon, chips, tinned sweetcorn
Steak pie, chips & peas
Cod fillet, new potatoes & peas
Decluttering has slowed a little but still ongoing. Last time I posted was week 30 w/e sun 28 July. Weeks 31 & 32 were holiday weeks, so...
Week 33 w/e Sunday 18 Aug - shredding. Fruit bowl in charity bag. New fridge freezer has a huge fruit & veg drawer so not really using a fruit bowl any more. Bottles/jars to bottle bank. Unwanted paving slabs collected by a friend.
Week 34 w/e Sunday 26 August - broken washing basket binned.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Hello petal we are both exactly in the same boat. I am too ill to work till 68 and to ill to work full time. We are both having to save for retirement and also pay off a mortgage.
You are doing all you can with your illnesses and eat healthily and exercise which is more than most people do so please don't be down. We must stay positive as we are on the road to escape whereas most people can't even think of early retirement.
Your food situation is looking great. I have been totally inspired since meeting you and am now looking forward to the adventure. Don't worry Skinty you are amazing.
Do you know the poem when I am old I shall wear purple? This is us....

We have so much to look forward to and we are going to enjoy it every step of the way Skinty.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
SW you always know what to say when people are feeling low. Thank you, and thanks for the poem too
Have had problems with new glasses, took them to speksavers and it turns out nothing wrong with the glasses, speksavers gave me the wrong prescription ... For both sets ! They retested my eyes and are putting free lenses in my new frames. What a palaver. Would still buy online again just hope next time the prescription is correct !
Parked in free area and walked in. Bought a Burger King junior, chips & diet coke in town £2.99. Got carrots, kitchen roll & milk in tesco £2.89.
Back to wearing old glasses again until new ones are ready in next few days. Thankfully I remembered to take them with me so I could drive home again :rotfl:
Just waiting for it to cool down so can take dog out. It's been 27 degrees here today. Down to a chilly 21 degrees tomorrow :cool:0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

The heat has been incredible. The poor puppy how on earth she is coping is beyond me.
Glad the specs have been sorted. I can't believe they put the wrong lenses in. OMG that could have caused a car accident. I swear by Rex Wingate Opticians best service ever. Blooming expensive though. I am as blind as a bat but you'd never guess it from my skinny specs.
Payday in two days Skinty we are gonna be rich yay.:beer:Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Much cooler day today thank goodness ! Took puppy dog for a walk and put out some washing. Then it rained !
I took some sandals back yesterday as I hadn't worn them and got a refund of £14.99. Payday on Friday :j0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
