Had to take poor puppy dog to vet today as her poor face swelled up. Vet thinks she ate a bee or wasp she had an injection and her temperature taken and was not impressed ! She has slept most of yhe afternoon after the antihistamine and the swelling does seem to have gone down a little. We had one free vet consult on the plan DS pays for and so cost was just for injection £13

Met with a friend and we shared an indian with the £5 credit from just eat it was £7.50 between us  She had a bottle of parma violet gin which was lovely (with tonic ... only had 1 hic)
Today I met another friend for lunch at our local pub. We had 2 for £9.99 and a bottle of Rose Cider £4.45 nearly same price as meal  but was a huge bottle with ice lasted ages. The meal took an hour to arrive so they gave us free dessert :T
Had a snooze this afternoon then hoovered the house and car and cleaned inside of car ready to go up north at the weekend. Black interior does not go well with an andrex puppy dog. :rotfl: Just need to check tyres & get petrol and pack. Puppy dog is staying home with DS & his gf

When we were kids our dog was stung and didn't understand he thought mum had walloped him and couldn't understand how she did it from the other side of the garden. He was so upset I think more than from the bite as he thought mum had hit him.
I am glad you saw your friends and ate out. I had fishnchips a few times.
Good luck driving to your dads and I hope you have some chilling time too.

Arrived home yesterday after a lovely relaxing time away visiting family. Am so lucky, DF would not let me pay for anything and gave me petrol money so that takes a bit of pressure off this month.
Had a problem with my tyre going down but DF knew a place to go and it was fixed for £10 :T wish we had garages like that here in the south !
Collected 5 x 15kg bags of dog food £120 paid for by DS, saving £60 when compared to food we used to buy here in the south. I brought 3 back and DF will bring the other 2 next time he comes to stay.
Have just fed puppy dog and she is snoozing. She is all better now. She was pleased to see me yesterday think she may have missed me !
Today I need to go food shopping. I have £20 vouchers from work which I can use in Iceland so I will go there for a change. I usually go to aldi but can't turn down free food

I'm surprised how tired I was yesterday after my holiday
Had a lovely dog walk on the common it was sunny but cool. There are masses of apples on the trees and blackberries are coming.
I shopped at Iceland which cost £24 and I used the £20 voucher. There is a mixture of frozen & fresh, veg & salad. I have enough for a week with a few things that will carry over, but I will then go back to aldi as Iceland was more expensive.
Pottered around for the rest of the day. 2 loads washing done & dried outside. Scrubbed patio and washed dog paddling pool. She jumped in once I had finished and went to lie in the shade it was quite hot in the afternoon. It cooled down around 5pm so took her for second walk. It's darker and cooler in the mornings and evenings now, feels like autumn. Rain is forecast for today. Will walk puppy dog around 9am then I have an optician appointment at 11. I haven't been for 4 years at least it will be free.

Welcome back! I am not surprised you were tired after the holiday as you did a looong drive. I think the idea of getting gift vouchers is great especially when it means you have low price food shop. Good luck at the opticians.

2 dog walks in the rain today. Free eyetest at specsavers and walked away with my prescription. I am trying to find glasses that I like using the MSE 2 pairs for £17 offer. Tomorrow I am out for a walk with a friend in the afternoon. DS & his gf are off work so they will walk the dog. It is forecast to be sunny so lets hope this rain is gone. Feels like winter tonight I have put my quilt back on my bed as it is getting chilly at night.
