Thanks Lynne and Aesop for new thread. Also big thanks to carbootcrazy who is a constant motivator on the thread!

Going to bite the bullet and actually go for £10 a day this month please. :D

  • Day one done :) My mum came over and gave me a £5 morrisons voucher.. I topped petrol up and I got my own £5 morrisons voucher :) yippie! I also had my first little go at wombling, I found some asda receipts in my purse and checked them, I have £1.51 to use. I also checked my previous 3 shops with them and I can't remember the amount but I am due a little amount back as evouchers, but I will wait until they are showing :). £11.51 so far :).

I really hope I can stick to this, I've been lurking on older threads and you guys are such an inspiration. Thank you :)

Lovely to see you over here, January2015:T. I feel like we're old friends from chatting so often on another thread:)

You're very welcome to join us and if there's anything at all you'd like to know please just ask. We're a very helpful and friendly bunch on here, like on the other thread;), but maybe replies to queries might take a bit longer to be answered here as a lot of people don't get online all that regularly.

I like the sound of getting addicted to this challenge - it will be good to get addicted to clearing the junk we have collected :rotfl: I was going to get rid of all our vinyl records (we have loads) but I see they are making a comeback.....I don't think OH will be able to part with those :(

I should warn you, this challenge is seriously addictive:rotfl:. When I joined I never imagined I'd make anywhere near £5 a month but it was a lot easier than I thought and I'm usually managing to hit a £10 target most months now. The extra money sure does help;)

    Good Luck:beer:

    Hi cbc

Lovely to see you - and many thanks for inspiring/motivating words. All helps push me to get this done :)

I have been in the loft today and taken a car load to the tip (sorted into books and clothes for recycling and a serious load of junk that I don't know why it ever went into the loft in the first place ). However, I have caught the cabling in the loft today and somehow blown the lighting system up there......so I've disconnected the electrics to the loft on the fuse box (flipped the switch lol) and will wait until the other half gets home to see what I have done. It's not as simple as a blown lightbulb - I tried changing that. Definitely done something. Hey ho.....I have a good pile bought down to start dusting it off and getting it onto eBay/facebook sales pages.

Quick heads up in case you haven't read Martin's email today.

£10 discount on gift cards for new subscribers to Zeek (voucher/gift card resale site). Loads of retailers to choose from.

Just joined, bought a £40 card which was discounted anyway and got the £10 off as well. Bargain:j:j:j

Can have eVouchers or a physical card posted out to you. I'm getting the card sent so won't claim the money yet until it comes.

Act quickly, there's a limited number of Martin's £10 off codes (which is MSE10 by the way;))

    Good Luck:beer:

Thanks for this CBC. I've had a mad day today and hadn't seen the email but just signed up and got £30 cineworld voucher for £17.20
