off to dye my hair blue....
Nice! I used to have fire engine red hair and LOVED it! My sheets didn't...but I did lol! Have since gone super natural though and given up things like hair dye and even shampoo - its not as weird as you might thinkSo am now all my own colour (including the greys) for the first time since I was about 12 I think! I don't miss the toxins, but I do miss playing with the colour and my style

Aesop, I don't blame you at all for going for it, or you too Surfchik (when you did, that is):). I'm full of admiration for people who boldly go:beer::T.
I'm a bit long in the tooth now for brightly-coloured hair, in fact I've never been more relieved than when I stopped colouring my hair altogether and have gone grey. My hair is in great condition and I'm saving a small fortune on colourants:j seeing as my hair grows lightning fast and was always needing a touch up;). Plus, I'm such a wimp anyway that I daren't even try nail polishes that are colours other than pink:o0 -
Just came on while I get the chance to say I might be a bit hit and miss getting on here at all in the next few days. Hurray, I can hear you all saying, less waffle to have to plough through:eek:
Ever since I started the ball rolling for switching my broadband and phone service I've had major gremlins in the system:mad:. Internet connection keeps dropping out etc. Not completely, just for about 30 minutes at a time but it's darn frustrating when it fails as I keep 'losing' connections and stuff I've typed in emails etc:eek:. The switchover doesn't happen for almost a fortnight so I'm baffled. Can't come soon enough now;)0 -
yuk. what would make you want to hide that in a book.
don't think I want to know what your colleagues find

Sprinting in while I have a connection:rotfl:
The company responsible for distributing the BT Phonebook lost the contract this year and I expected I wouldn't be delivering this time as I couldn't find the name or a contact for the new distributor so I could register an interest:(. Then today, unexpectedly, someone from the new company phoned me (they must have taken over the previous deliverers' database) and booked me for a week's delivering :j. I only accepted 2 routes this time as I always take on too much:o and if the weather is atrocious (and it's very rural where I'm delivering) I have problems getting it all finished in the week they allow us. They pay peanuts really but beggars can't be choosers and every little helps;). Plus, the exercise is good:j. The old company paid by cheque but this one pays by BACS. Might get the money a bit quicker;). Just got to hope for reasonable weather now.0 -
Evening lovely peoples :hello:
Oh shucks CBT - really hope your techie problems soon come to an end. You have had sooo many troubles over the last six months and I'm sending some 'go away techie gremlin' vibes for you. Great news re the 'phone books - when do you have to do that as I hope the weather's better for you than now.
I had my second few hours of cover today and - good news for me, but sorry that the other person is unwell - they asked me to do next Monday as well. So that's £27.25 to add for today.
I shall be having a few quiet days on here now, as my DS, who lives in Ibiza, is arriving for a visit. He'll probably be here for about a week so will be going out and about with him if the weather is passable. However, I shall be thinking of you all
Hope you all can keep the money-making going for the rest of the month as some people are doing so well up to now :T :T
Have a terrific Tuesday folks

go ahead and include it as it's money you weren't expecting.
Thanks Aesop for your opinion on my earlier question.
I have made £900 on backdated tax credits (a nice and very welcomed surprise).
I have been continuing to add money on various survey sites but nothing is at payout yet, not too worry I will keep plodding along.0 -
Brilliant result with the backdated credits, MMM:dance::j:beer:0

Lynne have a lovely week with DS. Hope weather is good.
CBC, how very annoying. can't tell you what it is except BT are having major issues with old boxes and exchanges. I looked up on which, the best site for broadband for me as fed up with vm. may go with zen in April.
I have black hair and the blue was one of those shades that you zee when you turn your head and the light reflects off it. my hair looks much blacker than before. people are saying they can see the blue I can't. but no more white hairs :j
£5 from mysurvey..0 -
Thanks, Aesop:A
Your hair sounds really lovely now you've described it:j
The reason BT give us for our painfully slow broadband speed (and by slow I mean considerably slower than the slowest advertised speed:() is our distance from the exchange. It's just under 3 miles away and is nothing more than a brick shed but I doubt a lot of people live nearer to their exchange than that. I think other suppliers use the same lines and exchanges so we might not be much better off except paying less. Time will tell.
Is it half-term for your DS? It must be annoying (not to mention expensive) for you to have to work when he's on a break. The dates round here seem all mixed up, some schools are still working and others are closed for HT. We live between 2 different local authorities though.
By the way, I've left setting up my new phone until I get my new provider's hub/router. Might have more luck with that one's wi-fi:rotfl:0
